Watch, share, and join the Fairtrade movement!
Sad news to hear of the passing of Mavis Riley a true pioneer for Fairtrade Campaigning in Wolverhampton since the 80's. We wouldn't be celebrating 21 years as a Fairtrade city without her @WolvesCouncil@EnjoyWolvesCity@FairtradeUK@1018wcrfm@FAIRTRADE
It was a pleasure to be guest speaker at the Wolverhampton Rotary lunch and presentation event yesterday. Everyone learnt about Fairtrade Wolverhampton and that we have been a Fairtrade city for 21 years🙌 @FairtradeUK@EnjoyWolvesCity@DonnnellyStefan
Thank you to Rotary Club of Wolverhampton for inviting myself to the present the cheques the beneficiaries of the Tree of Remembrance. These were Compton Care Sponsored Breaks and Wolverhampton MS Therapy Centre.
Thank you to the event organisers for all your hospitality.
@Sureena4WNE@WarinderSJuss@MalawiinUK A day that I personally will remember always. Thank you for inviting me to represent Wolverhampton Fairtrade. And thank you both for being advocates and supporters for Fairtrade in our city as Wolverhampton celebrates 21 years of Fairtrade status in 2025
It was tea for two and two for tea as @WarinderSJuss and I hosted the Fair-Trade delegation from Malawi.
We were joined, in the historical Jubilee Rooms at the Palace of Westminster, by @MalawiinUK , the Malawi Minister for Water and Sanitation, and by various traders and aficionados of our nations, indeed many nations, favourite infusion.
A big thanks go to the indomitable @JoolsFarrell , who has spent many years campaigning for the Fair Trade movement in Wolverhampton and is doing a wonderful job, with @FTWolverhampton even being recognised nationally!
Julia is passionate about the #BeTheChange pledge, and represented Wolverhampton fantastically.
We sampled the distinctive notes and undertones of Malawi blends and discussed equitable and fair ways of bringing them to the market. Best cuppa break of the job so far.🫖

Climate change and extreme weather are responsible for reduced coffee production, which also impacts the quality of coffee beans ☕
This was partly responsible for the 2024 global surge, which has adversely affected smallholder coffee farms 🌍🌡️
