USCIS has stopped processing the cases of lawful Iranian immigrant students, scholars, professionals who have already been through a rigorous vetting process at the time of their arrival. These delays have stalled lives.

Interesting how the administration campaigned on two big things:
- end wars
- remove illegal immigrants
And instead it has
- started a new war
- remove legal immigrants

America Forever, Whatever The Weather!
We remain committed to advocating for fairness and due process.
The current pause by @USCIS is creating uncertainty for highly qualified, law-abiding pro-American scholars who have followed every requirement. Many are now facing disruptions to their careers and stability despite their commitment to contributing to this country.
We share the belief that immigration policy should strengthen the United States. Supporting talented, young, legal immigrants, who consistently demonstrate strong contributions and low risk, aligns with that goal.
We respectfully request that @USCIS lift the pause and resume timely adjudication for applicants who have complied fully with all legal processes.

The new White House policy requiring green card applicants to apply from outside the US is a capricious attack on legal immigration. It will hurt families, leave us with fewer doctors, teachers and scientists, and hurt American competitiveness in AI.
It seems @USCISJoe did not even read his own agency’s publications on why adjustment status was adopted and why it exists today. No one should be shocked when this “policy” is enjoined next week.

The #Dorcas hearing exposed the core problem with the #USCISpause.
The judge repeatedly questioned how the government can claim people are “not injured” when legal immigrants cannot renew work authorization, receive adjudications, support their families, or move forward with their lives.
And when asked when the pause would end, the government’s answer was essentially: “We don’t know.”
That uncertainty is exactly what has devastated thousands of legal students, researchers, doctors, engineers, and families for months.

For those who missed today’s hearing in #Dorcas v. USCIS, it marked a notable step forward in the ongoing challenge to the USCIS #pause.
The USCIS lawyers offered little substantive explanation beyond uncertainty, repeatedly stating they “do not know” in response to key questions—underscoring how unsettled the current position appears to be.

If the government truly believes legal immigrants affected by the USCIS pause are a security concern, then process our cases faster, not slower.
We are already inside the United States. We studied here, worked here, paid taxes here, and followed every legal process. Keeping thousands of vetted students, engineers, researchers, and doctors in indefinite limbo does nothing for national security.

Please hear us.
Iranian students already undergo some of the strictest vetting in the world, often waiting years, holding single-entry visas, and living far from their families while following every legal rule.
Now the #USCISpause has pushed many into even deeper uncertainty with frozen applications, lost opportunities, and no timeline.
Please end this indefinite pause.

Great news regarding the physician exemption! Now, let’s focus on #LiftThePause for STEM students, engineers, and scholars. Human intelligence and dedication should be valued. Reach out to senators and journalists—we believe in fairness, meritocracy, and the rule of law! #USCISPause
America invited us. Trained us. Funded our research with taxpayer dollars. Then banned us from working here because of where we were born. That's not national security. That's waste. #LiftTheHold#USCISPause#USCISpause
All legal immigrants from 39 countries in the US are under #USCISPause, which is freezing ALL the benefits for them. OPT-H1B-F2-J1-F1. PLEASE be our voice. Some lost jobs, some lost insurance, some became homeless, some are going hungry, families are torn apart. #LiftTheHold

When I came to the United States through legal channels, I did so with deep respect for its institutions and its long-standing commitment to opportunity, innovation, and the rule of law. It has therefore been difficult to see policies that leave applicants waiting without clarity or resolution.
