Join us as we visit the Manhattan Project National Historical Park in Los Alamos, NM. While there, we learned about the top secret WWII site that brought together scientists and military personnel, who worked in tandem to create the atomic bomb that would change the world.

The Freedom Tower in NYC, built on the site where the World Trade Center Towers once stood, pays tribute to the indomitable American Spirit. It is 1776 feet tall, a tribute to the founding of the United States on July 4, 1776. An iconic symbol as we prepare for America 250.

Surfing has a long and storied history in Hawaii. The sport was once the sport of kings, enjoyed by many of Hawaii's royal families. However, Christian missionaries arrived in Hawaii and found the sport too leisurely, causing the sport to nearly die out.

What will I learn at the Kauai Museum? You will learn the history of the Garden Island and its neighbors. That includes this painting that depicts Kauai King Kamuaalii and his warriors watching on as King Kamehameha I and his soldiers attempt to conquer the island in April 1796.

What will I see at the Kauai Museum?
You will discover many of the traditions that helped make Kauai what it is today. That includes the cowboy culture of the Hawaiian Islands. The Paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy) culture began after the first horses were brought to the islands in 1793.

Taking a look back to our trip to Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming. The first National Monument was established by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1906. Devils Tower is a marvelous site. We were impressed from the moment we crested a hill and first witnessed the mount.
