Police confirm 7 persons (5 men & 2 women), ages 17 to 79 were detained on suspicion of disrupting [public] order in Causeway Bay yesterday on June 4 on the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square protest crackdown. No official charges were filed and those detained have been released

I will never understand that mindset of the pro-gov "blue ribbons" who celebrate the June 4 Tiananmen crackdown. Placing aside the historical revisionist view of calling it a "colour revolution", celebrating mass death of civilians shows a downright lack of humanity.

@RaccoonDojo 7/21/2019, was horrifying. Also, 8/31/2019. And before that, 6/12/2019. All three had me upset and staying up late into the night. With those, instead of "just" watching TV, I was also frantically messaging friends to make sure they were okay in the case of 7/21 and sharing pain.

I was living in London at the time, and watched the BBC coverage of what happened. I cried a lot and had problems sleeping that night. When I went to work the next day, my boss told me, "Go home and rest". Later, I learnt he had watched it all too. And was similarly horrified.
