Yes we’re actively fixing this. The actual reason boils down to technical tradeoff which made the product experience limiting.

We did not have clustering and the way we loaded map pins would’ve been too technically expensive and slow. Instead of adding clustering, we limited the zoom.

This predates us and we have fixed this on iOS. We’re fixing this imminently everywhere else paired with a handful of other changes. Appreciate your feedback

Personally I think this is a skill issue. It’s an excellent sign if the CEO of a company can structure the company in way where it can be nimble and change direction or reverse course with new information.

I talk a lot about keeping life simple and avoiding unforced errors.

However, very recently I believe I have made an unforced error in my personal life. Nothing irreversible but just have to soldier through it for a bit. Annoyed at myself that I did not think through alternative scenarios. I will have to treat this as an experience and a lesson.

After some threshold, 50% of the people self organize into just being note takers, coordinators, and messengers. Another 30% only work on the easy, shiny, and minimally useful things. Leaving only 20% of people doing the real work but now spending half their time filtering through noise and chaos

The ideal team size for a product or initiative is usually 9 or less
