We are aware of an unplanned water outage affecting several hundred customers this morning. Our crews have identified the issue and are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore water service. We expect service to be restored within approximately one hour. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our crews complete the necessary work. We will provide an update as soon as service has been fully restored. While most people think of pipes, pumps, and treatment tanks, our #FPUD laboratory plays an important role in the treatment process. Our lab staff regularly tests wastewater samples to monitor treatment performance, verify compliance with environmental regulations, and help ensure treated water meets strict requirements before it is safely returned to the ocean. #WastewaterTreatment

#ThrowbackThursday to 1991!
Back when customers were asked to cut water use by 30%, our mascot was a water drop named "Drippy," and phone numbers didn't even need an area code. 😄
Pictured are Jeff & Mickey showing off FPUD's "Drought Response Information Program" sign—a reminder that water conservation has been part of our community's story for decades.
Who remembers Drippy?

🚧 What the heck is going on just off N. Main on Bluebird Park Road?
It's not routine construction—it's an emergency pipeline replacement project.
A 50-year-old water pipeline began showing signs of failure and experienced multiple leaks, prompting #FPUD to fast-track its replacement using emergency repair resources. By acting quickly, we're helping prevent larger failures, reduce water loss, and improve reliability for our customers.
Thanks for your patience while we complete this important infrastructure upgrade. 💧 #Fallbrook #Infrastructure #WaterWorks
Donuts may be famous for the hole in the middle, but there's one thing they can't do without: water. 💧🍩Happy National Donut Day from #FPUD! Every sweet bite starts with a reliable water supply.

💧 #ThrowbackThursday to a true #FPUD legend! Meet Tedd Theodore—better known as "Tedd Ted." For nearly 30 years, he served as FPUD's chemist, helping ensure our water met the highest quality standards.
In this photo, Tedd is doing what he loved most: giving local 5th graders a tour of the Alturas Road lab and sharing the science behind safe, reliable drinking water.
Known for his kindness, dedication, and expertise, Tedd retired in 2018 after touching countless lives through his work and community outreach.
Do you remember Tedd or taking a tour of the lab? Share your memories below! #TBT #WaterQuality #Fallbrook
What you're watching isn't a workout—it's lifesaving training. #FPUD employees recently sharpened their CPR skills through hands-on training designed to prepare them for the moments nobody expects but everyone hopes they're ready for.
Water may be our business, but protecting people is always a priority. 💪Trained. Prepared. Ready to respond.

#ThrowbackThursday to circa 2005 with Kyle checking a sewer line! Many in the community may recognize Kyle as a familiar friendly face around town and from his nearly 35 years at #FPUD before retiring a few years ago. He spent many years managing the sewer crews and helping keep our system running sin ship shape. 👏 #WaterProfessionals #Wastewater
#ThrowbackThursday to circa 1949, when local boys celebrated the arrival of the very first water flowing into Red Mountain Reservoir! 💧
More than 75 years later, this reservoir is still serving #FPUD customers today. It holds about 440 million gallons of water. #fallbrook
Big congratulations to Elli from Live Oak Elementary!
Her artwork was selected as a winner in #FPUD’s annual “What Does Water Mean to Me?” calendar contest—and is featured on our May page! Out of 350 incredible entries from talented 4th graders, Elli’s creativity truly stood out. 👏#water #fallbrook
#ThrowbackThursday to Phil Swing, former attorney for #FPUD, former congressman, and co-author of the Hoover Dam. Phil helped lead the way for our water rights—following a decades-long, nearly 70-year legal battle with Camp Pendleton—so we could eventually use the Santa Margarita River as a water source. #localwater
The Santa Margarita River runs right through Fallbrook, but we only began using its water in 2022, following an earlier agreement with Camp Pendleton to share access. 💧#Fallbrook
