@ArywoodSt@visegrad24 It's a logarithmic scale. Theoretically, there is no upward limit, but a 10.0 would be 32x stronger than a 9.0. And a 11.0 would be 32x stronger than that. It's widely believed that only a planetary impact from a very large object could create something above 10.0ish
@WallStreetApes When I was her age I didn't have a car, or a cell phone, at times NO PHONE, and my rent was way more than 50% of my income. I'm not a boomer. I hated taking the bus and I probably bitched about it but I didn't make myself a spectacle.
@zerohedge The question is, why are we wasting our money on this thing? Its completed its mission. It was engineered to be deorbited in 2015. Send everybody home, deorbit the relic, and focus on the moon.
@DowdEdward The most ironic thing about that is the Dotcom/Telecom bubble build out was financed indirectly by porn companies. They were driving all the bandwidth and paying all the bills. They pioneered new technologies like streaming video. Basically, they financed the modern internet.
@WallStreetApes The Sumerians were adding nitrates/nitrites to meats 5,000 years ago and humans have been using it consistently ever since. Before refrigeration humans were using MORE OF IT. It's not the cause of whatever is making people sick the last few decades.
@manus_carlisle People see the 10 watt charger charging their iphone and think that's it. They don't realize it takes more power than their kitchen fridge on the other side to allow them to swipe right while they're on the toilet taking a runny dump.
@WallStreetApes To put things into perspective, we used to raise our own Thanksgiving turkeys- bourbon red variety. They taste nothing like the crap from the grocery store. It took over $100 worth of feed to raise a single bird. And feed prices were lower then. Quality is EXPENSIVE.
