Thank you so much to everyone for all the support. I will be posting more updates after my trip. For now, he will be in my storage while I work on him. We will be moving him to a bigger storage unit soon, but the most important thing is that we got him out! The owner was very grateful for all the effort I put into rescuing him. Again thank you so much for following this journey.
I am also very happy to see people sharing the story about where Spyro was before and who his previous owners were! It's funny because I promised everyone that I would rescue him, I did my best, and here we are.
I am the little cheeto in the middle, my partner in crime 👨🏻 and the owner to the left 😆

I don’t even know where to start... So, my boyfriend showed me this Instagram reel of a Spyro the Dragon statue. The sad part? It’s sitting in an abandoned building. The cool part? It was only 45 minutes away from us! I rewatched the reel a million times and tried to message the creator for details, but they gatekept the location.
So, I took matters into my own hands and spent hours tracking it down. I posted on Reddit, and some amazing people reached out with the coolest history on this thing. Turns out, this exact statue was an exclusive promotional piece used all the way back at E3 for Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon! In the old photos, he was perched way up on a high stand looking awesome. Sadly, looking closely at the reel, his wings are missing now—but he’s still dope. After E3, the statue was bought by or donated to The Arc Arcade in Astoria. When the arcade shut down in 2018, the statue basically vanished... until now.
Once I finally pinpointed the address, I had to track down the property owner, just crossing my fingers that he’d actually know what I was talking about. Because honestly, who calls a stranger first thing in the morning asking about a giant purple dragon?
By the time I gathered all this info it was 3 AM, and I was wide awake like an owl, but I had to get some sleep for work. I finally called the owner around 10 AM. I asked if he owned the building, and he said yes. Then I asked if he knew what that huge thing visible through the glass door was.
His response? “Oh, that purple lizard thing? I don’t know! It was there when I bought the building in 2021, and I have no idea what to do with it.”
I was absolutely losing it such a hilarious response. Then, he literally asked me, “Can you just come take it on Monday?” and I was like, “Uh, YES!”
If everything goes smoothly, I’m going to keep him in storage while I work on restoring him, with the goal of displaying him at a gaming expo in the future. Wish me luck and fingers crossed we get this baby out of there! #spyrothedragon #spyro #retrogaming #insomniacs

Happy Birthday to Etika who would have been 36 today
A YouTuber, streamer, model and a man of many iconic reactions to Nintendo Directs and Super Smash Bros, the world lost him far too soon with his untimely passing in 2019
It’s crazy just how bad voice acting has become in less than three decades. The modern line reads are absolutely egregious. Funimation permanently ruined the entire industry.
New York City has officially renamed one of their streets after Jack Kirby 💥
• The corner of Essex & Delancey will now be known as Jack Kirby Way
• He grew up in the area, which inspired the fictional Yancy Street in ‘Fantastic Four’

I have an excuse to say I always thought Starfox assault was the best. The on rail arwing sections are the best in the series and I didn’t mind the on foot sections.
Also, the Aparoids were menacing and cool as hell. Yes, it could have had more missions but I’m biased towards structure.
