I understand the pain and conversation. I am also affected, CWG rejected my media application despite attending the last Games in Birmingham without a visa violation.

I was denied a visa recently because they assumed in their response that I won't return to Nigeria and this is me with 10 years valid UK visa, Canada valid 9 years visa and USA 1+ years valid visa. I appealed the rejection with strong words even though I knew they might ignore but I expressed my displeasure with such stereotype.

However, no be only Nigerians dey Japa and I think we talk too much and make the loudest noise on social media. We expose ourselves to this danger. I have seen more Asians in the UK than Africans and they are on a low key.

In my opinion, this post is insensitive and indicting. It will affect all of us in the future. We will be stereotyped, and they can make judgments based on this kind of conversation.

We can channel our anger to the appropriate bodies and curb the Japa syndrome in the media sector.
