This week, we're reminding drivers that arriving safely matters more than arriving quickly. That message extends far beyond this campaign. Every day, FHP encourages motorists to slow down, buckle up, and help make every trip a safe one.

💥💥💥 FLORIDA WINS!!! 💥💥💥
For the 4th year in a row Florida Highway Patrol wins the America’s Best Looking Cruiser contest!!
Thank you to everyone who voted!!!
The Florida Highway Patrol is proud to have earned the American Association of State Troopers’ Best Looking Cruiser title for a historic fourth year in a row! We couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who showed their support for Florida State Troopers — whether you voted, shared, reposted, or cheered us on.
Your State Troopers serve Florida with dedication and pride every day, and your continued support means the world to us.
We also want to congratulate our fellow finalists — Michigan and Georgia — for their outstanding cruisers and strong showings in this year’s contest. It’s an honor to stand alongside such exceptional agencies.
We’re joining law enforcement agencies across Florida this week for Operation Southern Slow Down – a campaign aimed at enhancing safety through increased enforcement and education to deter unsafe behaviors like speeding on our roadways.
Thank you to @FHPOrlando, @MCSOFlorida, @PortOrange_PD, and many other law enforcement agencies for joining us at @DAYTONA to kick off this initiative.
No matter where you’re going, your choices behind the wheel matter. Slow down, obey the speed limit, and look out for the safety of others on the road.
Let’s work together to keep our roads safe.

This afternoon, a car struck a @CountyOfVolusia fire truck that was stopped along International Speedway Boulevard while units responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash.
The driver fled west on ISB toward DeLand, passing cars in the grass and the shoulder, almost crashing several times.
After reaching DeLand, he stopped briefly to let out 2 passengers, then kept fleeing. He tried to pass traffic at Amelia Avenue, hit a culvert, crashed into a pole, bailed out and ran into the Publix plaza.
While VSO K-9 Red was eager to track him down, @FHPOrlando caught up with him first.
Jamal Anthony Riascos, 27, DeLand, is charged with fleeing/attempting to elude with property damage, leaving the scene of a crash, reckless driving, resisting, and violation of probation. He was taken to the hospital to get checked out prior to transport to the Volusia County Branch Jail.

This week, CFX is joining other Florida tolling agencies, including @FL_Turnpike, @theaselmon, and @gmxagency, to support #IBTTA’s Be Safe Together campaign.
When you see crews working along the road, slow down, stay focused, and give them the space they need to work safely.
At @CFXway and @DriveEPASS, we're committed to helping protect everyone who travels and works on our roads. ⚠️
Work zones are temporary. The impact of a crash can last forever.

It is with great sadness that DPS announces the death of Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Sergio Romero.
Trooper Romero was attempting to conduct a traffic stop along US-287 near Childress, around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, when a truck-tractor semi-trailer pulled out in front of him, causing his patrol unit to collide with the vehicle. Trooper Romero died on scene.
Trooper Romero answered the call to serve each day with honor and remained steadfast in his commitment to protecting and serving Texans. The DPS family will never forget the ultimate sacrifice he made in service of this state.
