Glad to be featured in @ndtv, sharing my views on how developments around the US-Iran deal could impact India's economy through oil prices, inflation, and the rupee.
In an interconnected world, geopolitical events often have far-reaching economic consequences.

Plot twist: this isn’t a telecom IPO.
Patents across 4G→6G + AI. 40% of staff in deep tech. A Made-in-India 5G stack now going global.

India’s biggest IPO. Ever.
Jio Platforms just filed its DRHP — a fresh issue of 270mn shares, ~2.9% of the company. Zero OFS. Nobody’s cashing out. Every rupee goes IN.
Reliance’s first IPO since 2008. Buckle up.
The best part? Nobody’s selling.
Meta, Google, KKR, Silver Lake, the big funds — every 2020 backer is staying in. ₹27,500 cr of the raise goes straight to clearing debt.
That’s belief, not an exit. 💪

The biggest takeaway?
Markets don't just react to earnings or RBI decisions.
Sometimes, a geopolitical event thousands of kilometres away can create or erase billions in wealth overnight.
Because markets don't just price companies, they price UNCERTAINTY.
#USIranPeace
A US-Iran peace deal sent Indian markets soaring today.
Sensex jumped 1,100+ points and investors gained nearly ₹8 lakh crore in a single session.
But why did a diplomatic agreement thousands of kilometres away move Indian markets so much?
Lower oil prices can ease inflation, reduce pressure on the rupee, improve India's trade balance, and lower costs for businesses across sectors.
For investors, that's good news.
Final takeaway:
Today = relief.
Tomorrow = data dependent.
If inflation keeps rising, future rate hikes can't be ruled out.
This policy looks more like a pause than a pivot.
Do you think the RBI stays on hold for the rest of 2026, or do we see a rate hike later this year?
No rate hike. No rate cut.
But the RBI still sent a strong signal.
The repo rate stays unchanged at 5.25%.
That means loans don't get costlier—for now.
What does this mean for markets?
Stable rates mean borrowing costs remain unchanged, which is generally supportive for:
* Banks
* Realty
* Auto
* Consumption stocks
But inflation remains the key risk to watch.
Ahead of its IPO, Zepto disclosed that its co-founders received ED summons in April under FEMA proceedings.
The inquiry sought information on foreign investments, financials, ownership structure, and more.
Does this change your view on the IPO?

Why did South Korea's market lose nearly 10% in a week?
Investors expected stronger AI growth signals from Broadcom. When that didn't happen, AI stocks sold off globally.
Samsung 18% ⬇️
SK Hynix 19% ⬇️
South Korea's market cap fell to about $4.5T.

India has reclaimed the 6th spot in global market-cap rankings.
A nearly 10% drop in South Korea's market value pushed its market cap down to $4.5T, while India's held steady at $4.84T.
But- Is India getting stronger, or are global markets getting weaker?
