When @fredcouplesgolf dusted off the driver he used to win the ‘92 @TheMasters and used it to play in the 2021 Wishbone Brawl at @goathillpark. Money raised went to North County Jr. Golf and Goat’s Jr. Caddie & Leadership Academy. Fred’s caddies that day, Ada and Annabelle Lee, went on to get scholarships from @WGAESF and are loving life at @UW.🐐

On Dec. 5th, they cut the first pin on Pasatiempo’s 16th green, recently restored by Jim Urbina, Justin Mandon and Earth Sculptures. On Dec. 19, Fire Pit Productions is hosting a Bonfire event for what was 44 two-person teams, but now we’re opening it up to 50 teams. Get a partner and get involved for one of the first rounds open to the public. For $650 per player, you get two meals, drinks, golf, a gift bag, trophies, live music and a roundtable with Urbina, Mandon and Brett Hochstein, an architect and shaper involved in the project. With Wishbone Brawl VII in the books, we’re looking back on the annual event with a highlight reel of the participants. All reels can be seen on the IG handle of @firepitstories. Next up, Bill Murray. The iconic actor and entertainer has been supporting John Ashworth’s efforts to revitalize a community asset for over a decade, and on Nov. 23, Murray showed up and did what Murray does best: make people laugh. He also gave hugs, posed for selfies and signed countless autographs. Murray partnered with Leta Lindley, the reigning U.S. Senior Women’s Open Champion, and the twosome came up a little short on the 4,500-yard par-65 municipal where locals can pay $35 to walk on weekends. All proceeds of the Wishbone Brawl go to North County Junior Golf and Goat’s Junior Caddie & Leadership Academy.
