Lion Rescue Take Two! 🦁🇺🇦

We are excited to share that Luna and Plusza, two four-year-old lionesses rescued from Ukraine, will soon be arriving at Five Sisters Zoo!

These sisters were evacuated from a private owner in Eastern Ukraine during the heavy bombing of the region in 2022. After receiving urgent medical care at a shelter in Kyiv, they were relocated to Poznan Zoo before making their way to Natuurhulpcentrum Opglabbeek in Belgium.
