@pntrack@CoachKosecki Moral of the story, it’s not the end of the world. Frustrating yes, but just another life lesson that sports can teach. It doesn’t cheapen the season or any of the hard work these guys put in. We’re still proud of what we did and our program!!!
@pntrack@CoachKosecki It was pretty apparent when our opening split was 9.2. It took probably 30 minutes until the games committee met. That’s when scramble mode set in. (Who do we have to scratch from what to give us another shot)
@CoachKosecki@pntrack Unfortunately, it was a mistake that cost a couple of our guys a chance to run on the blue track after running a great race initially. It also caused a noticeable impact in the meet overall. The open 200 featured only 3 athletes in the fast heat.
@CoachKosecki@pntrack I don’t think there was much of a discussion beyond, “This is what happened, we are going to rerun the entire event.” I know all of the officials personally, they are great guys and great officials who simply made a mistake.
Waterloo track finished in 2nd behind Mascoutah in the last MVC meet ever! There were many meet records broken tonight but one that stands out was our 4x4 which ran with a purpose. We finished with a time of 3:21.82 which is #2 in 2A currently! @IllinoisRunNews@republictimes
