Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye.

Neurotypicals:
“I do a little bit every day.”
ADHDers:
I do absolutely nothing for 11 days, then complete everything in one terrifying 9-hour burst that scares the dog.
My hot take is that if your company builds software that it cannot stop from hacking into other systems, your company is a malware company and should be treated as such
Im Original sagt sie hörbar: „that children get killed“
one of the most frustrating parts of adhd is getting this huge burst of motivation while you’re somewhere you can’t act on it. you’ll be sitting at work planning how you’re finally going to clean everything, organize your life and get your shit together. then you get home, walk through the door and somehow all that motivation evaporates. suddenly even the smallest task feels impossible. and because it happens so often, people assume you’re just making excuses.
adhd has plenty of symptoms that can make everyday life unnecessarily difficult, but rejection sensitivity is in a league of its own. you can be having the best day ever and then one tiny interaction makes your brain decide you’ve been rejected, and suddenly the entire mood is gone. sometimes it doesn’t just hurt your feelings either — it can make you completely lose interest in something you were genuinely excited about. absolute menace.
This is why I dislike the repeated characterization of ADHD as making it so that you “can’t concentrate on something unless I like it/am interested in it” because yeah no my brain will also sabotage me doing things I want to do
yes, i get the impression some people thinks ADHD is just a "thingy" to live with, when this condition has genuinely ruined my life. ADHD takes up a huge amount of my time and prevents me from doing the things i have/want to do and takes away my peace of mind
there’s a weird sense of grief with ADHD where you know you would have the capability to do and be all the things you want if you didn’t have this disorder but instead you feel metaphorically chained to the wall while your whole life passes you by
