Aquarium already lets Cardano apps sponsor transactions, users pay transaction fees in native tokens (babel fees) and transactions execute on schedule.
Operators earn for performing this work.
With V4, the same operators will also liquidate unhealthy loans and earn the associated fees!
Bullish on Aquarium operators 😉
Bifrost Catalyst update:
M4 was submitted on July 28 and has already been approved by the reviewers.
More than a month later, we’re still waiting for the final Catalyst sign-off.
Everything is ready on our side to keep moving. @Catalyst_onX
$ASCEND is now live on Fluid for lending and borrowing!
Ascend is building private, multichain perpetual markets on Cardano and Midnight, bringing institutional-grade DeFi into the privacy stack.
Another Cardano/Midnight project joins Fluid’s lending markets 😤
680+ public commits across Fluid Lending V4, Bifrost and Aquarium.
That work is converging into one stack: advanced UTxO lending, a Bitcoin bridge secured by Cardano SPOs, and community-run infrastructure for automated transactions and liquidations.
We keep on shipping, you keep on clicking 💙
Fluid V4’s audit is almost complete!
But we are not done there:
We added an adversarial layer by asking an anti-AI audit tool to hunt for vulnerabilities. It found some issues, and we fixed them before launch.
In an era of relentless hacks, we use every tool available, to keep you safe 💙
Fluid V4 makes liquidations community-run through Aquarium.
$FLDT holders operating an Aquarium node will be able to run the free, open-source liquidation bot, resolve unhealthy loans and earn fees.
Fluid only steps in if a loan stays unhealthy for too long.
Fluid V3 keeps putting Cardano capital to work:
→ $2.32M TVL
→ $1.18M in active loans
→ 504 active pools
→ 161 unique lenders
→ Every single $USDM borrowed
V3 is working hard → V4 really soon
The next Fluid staking period will be decided with the community.
Soon, we will publish a vote covering the available reward options. Stakers will choose the direction, and the next distribution period will follow that result.
More details soon. Stay tuned 😤
The recent Wanchain Cardano-BNB incident came from a bridge contract flaw and affected NIGHT, not wanBTC.
Still, it made us reconsider Fluid staking rewards:
wanBTC can still be bridged back to BTC, the bridge is functioning, but we need a solution to keep the community safer.
More soon ✨
Fluid V4 is designed without admin keys that can freeze or move user funds.
Users sign their own transactions. Smart contracts enforce the rules. Even the Fluid team cannot unilaterally take control of deposited assets.
That is what non-custodial should mean.
This is the Cardano way 💙
We are about to launch a new way for Cardano DeFi users to earn money:
In Fluid V4, $FLDT holders will be able to run their Aquarium bots as liquidation bots and help keep the lending protocol healthy.
When a borrower’s position becomes undercollateralized, these bots can step in, execute the liquidation and earn the associated fees.
Fluid only intervenes as a backstop if a position remains unresolved for too long.
This is the new way to do lending and borrowing on Cardano 💙
Fluid V4 is the most Cardano lending dApp, built around $ADA: preserving staking rewards, SPO and DRep delegation and Catalyst voting power while users lend and borrow.
Whirlpool is Fluid’s most stable lending dApp: a lending protocol, built specifically for supplying, borrowing and deploying stablecoin liquidity.
Different assets, different needs, one Fluid stack.
