Please see the following statement regarding an aircraft incident at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport this morning. Additional information will be shared as it becomes available.
Join us for RMMA's Town Hall on tonight, July 30, from 4:30–6:00 p.m. at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport Terminal. This is an opportunity to meet airport leadership, ask questions, provide feedback, and learn more about the work happening across the airport.
YourJeffco is now live! Airport stakeholders can submit aircraft noise reports through @JeffcoColorado’s new citizen engagement platform. Same reporting process, same information collected—just a new platform. Submit, track, & receive updates through the app, website, or portal.
Reminder: due to work in the runway safety area, 30L/12R will be closed for approximately 35 days, beginning July 6th. Please anticipate airfield and airspace impacts due to this work, and as always, pilots should check NOTAMs for the most up-to-date information.
From June 15–30, Runway 12L/30R will be closed for asphalt rehabilitation work at the Taxiway A connector and runway marking improvements. These upgrades are part of RMMA’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and reliable airfield for all users.
Snow on the ground, progress in the air. Today, @PilatusAircraft broke ground on a new state-of-the-art facility at RMMA, joined by @JeffcoColorado Commissioners Rachel Zenzinger and Andy Kerr. Big things taking off at RMMA!

When there’s an F-5 jet stationed at RMMA, we see a training opportunity. We teamed up with @NMFirePIO and F-5 pilots for an ARFF familiarization, walking through response considerations & what our teams need to know when this aircraft operates at RMMA. Preparation & Partnership.
Jeffco Commissioners Andy Kerr, Lesley Dahlkemper, and Rachel Zenzinger celebrated a major milestone for Rocky Mountain Metro Airport as it announced its Unleaded Fuel Transition Plan.
The transition represents a significant step forward in reducing lead emissions while maintaining aviation safety and operational reliability.
“This is a strong example of how policy, innovation, and partnership can deliver real results,” said Rachel Zenzinger, Jefferson County Commissioner and sponsor of Colorado House Bill 24-1235, which focuses on reducing aviation impacts on communities. “Reducing lead exposure matters for public health, and RMMA is demonstrating what proactive leadership looks like.”
Today marks an exciting milestone for Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport. RMMA is proud to be leading the transition to unleaded aviation fuel, now offering Swift UL94, an FAA-approved fuel that contains no lead and supports a cleaner future for general aviation.
This meaningful step forward reflects steady, thoughtful work and strong partnerships at the federal, state, and local levels. This transition reduces lead emissions while maintaining aviation safety, workforce development, and the economic vitality our airport supports.
