@vicgoddard Your sister is our hero too. (What is wrong with those people?). On behalf of the Folger Shakespeare Library, many many thanks to her! Come visit us and let us give her a celebratory tour! ❤️
The triumphant return of our Secondary Shakespeare Festival was last week! We welcomed 13 schools from around the DMV to the Folger Theater - it was wonderful to see students on our stage again, and we're looking forward to making next year's festival even bigger and better!
Teacher Members - if you didn't have the chance to join our professional development session on Othello last week, you can watch the recording and view the slides here: https://t.co/Fl7ecd37jr
@MisterJames0007 @SketchesbyBoze Yup, we do all that--thanks! It's important to the Folger! And teachers end up loving to teach all different kinds of literature using the Folger Method.
We are delighted to announce that Professor Farah Karim-Cooper (@ProfFarahKC) will become the Director of the Folger Shakespeare Library (@FolgerLibrary).
For the past two decades she has dedicated her expertise to our beloved wooden 'O' ❤️

@MarcusLuther6 Pairing 2 strong texts with authors of different centuries, cultures, genders . . . and letting the students tell you and each other about the connects and disconnects is mind-blowing. Breaks open both texts and they see things we've never thought of! #pairedtexts@FolgerED
My favorite part of your account, Susan, is your acknowledgement that you're not the same teacher you were when you last taught Hamlet, so looking for another, better way for both you and your students. Growth, wisdom, faith in your kids. Can I hear an amen? ❤️ @obrienfolger
I reworked my Hamlet unit this year and am so pleased with how well received it was. I relied on ideas from my time at @FolgerED, narrowed our focus, and let students do the heavy lifting. https://t.co/8RBh6f0eRB
