Liberals will lose the election excuse for ignoring Palestine, but they'll gain the "fuck you activists and Muslims and Arab Americans you cost us the election" revenge excuse instead 👍
🇵🇸🎤 “Always remember that hope is the biggest threat to the oppressors. They want us to lose hope. They want us to live in despair. But as my father says, ‘Hopelessness is a privilege not afforded to Palestinians.’
So keep raising your voice for the Palestinian prisoners, for Gaza, and for Palestine.
The day that Nelson Mandela walked free in South Africa was the day that signified the end of apartheid. And I can tell you that the day that my father, Marwan Barghouti, will be free from prison will be the day that we all know that the Israeli occupation is near to an end.”
— Arab Barghouti, Palestinian activist and the eldest son of Marwan Barghouti, the imprisoned Fatah leader who has been unlawfully jailed by Israel since 2002, at a music festival in Berlin this weekend.
I've been in hospital with my 4yo son all day, as he's getting chemo for his leukaemia, and as ever, I can't stop thinking about the fact that churches in Jerusalem begged the Israeli govt to let them treat kids with cancer in Gaza, and Israel said no. A mass death sentence.
🚨 UPDATE: Two month old infant Mohammed Al-Khatib has undergone a fourth surgery in less than two weeks after an Israeli attack in Gaza killed his mother, amputated his foot, and severely injured his hand.
Doctors are racing to save his hand from amputation, but he urgently needs medical evacuation and treatment abroad.

🔴 The son of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza held in Israeli detention since December 2024, warned Monday that his father’s life is in danger after being transferred to solitary confinement in Nafha Prison — a move the family says came in direct retaliation for filing a legal appeal with the Israeli Supreme Court.
The family says Abu Safiya is being held in a two-meter cell with no food, water, medicine, or access to his lawyer.
“How can a person be punished for asking why he is being detained?” his son asked in an urgent public appeal. “Every hour that passes without action may bring more suffering and pain.”
🚨BREAKING: 20 year old Malak Zaher Naim has died after months of waiting for cancer treatment unavailable in Gaza.
Malak survived the Israeli genocide, was displaced more than six times, and cared for her family throughout the ordeal. She was later diagnosed with lymphoma in the wall of her stomach, but chemotherapy was unavailable and repeated efforts to get her out of Gaza for treatment failed due to the crossing closure.
By the time she was finally allowed to travel, her condition had become critical. She died in Egypt shortly after arriving.
Malak’s story reflects the reality faced by thousands of cancer patients in Gaza, where war, siege, and the collapse of the healthcare system have turned treatable illnesses into death sentences.
portentous that even the most goofy and fun international events (eurovision, world cup) are starting to fall apart because of israeli interference and US immigration crackdowns
Arab countries that have spent the last several years engaging in armed defense of Israel from Iranian attacks (while issuing lip service statements about Gaza for public consumption) have been effectively building the future of their own enslavement in an Israeli-dominated region supported by the U.S. government.
The smarter thing to do would have been to find a way to be neutral and play the two sides against each other while building independent leverage. King Abdullah’s ancestors did the same thing to Turkey through their collaboration with the British which created the current problem in the first place.
⛑️Israeli attacks have killed 36 Palestinians in the first week of June alone, including 3 children and 6 women, Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza noted in a video.
He describes the grief carried by the families left behind and asks whether the world has not yet had enough of the killing and destruction.
Basal’s appeal comes more than seven months after the October 2025 ceasefire was announced, a truce that Israel has violated daily through 1,400 airstrikes, and hundreds of drone attacks and ground fire incidents, killing nearly 1,000 Palestinians and wounding almost 3,000 more.
Basal calls on “every living conscience” to stand against the continued bloodshed in Gaza.
Those in the Lebanese government adamantly demanding that the Lebanese resistance (the only force standing between the Lebanese people and the most notorious army of rapists, murders, and torturers on the planet) and Iran stand down are the same people who equally adamantly refuse to defend Lebanon from Israeli aggression and occupation, to defend their country from US, French, and Saudi corruption and political capture, to defend Lebanese civilians in the south, or to defend their Palestinian next-door neighbors from an ongoing genocide. The moral choice here could not be more obvious.
Using phrasing like "Iran-backed Houthi rebels" — but not "US-backed Zionist settlers" when describing Israel is the hallmark of a biased, imperialist rag.
Forget politics — just from a linguistic viewpoint, what a bloody mouthful. Who wants to read that nonsense?
Israeli media reveals that in late February Iran hit Israel's secret geospatial intelligence Unit 9900 building "hidden inside a residential area." In other words Israel deliberately uses human shields to protect military assets
In 1981, the PLO laid down its arms in Lebanon, scrupulously upheld a ceasefire for nearly a year, and offered to recognize Israel via a two-state settlement.
Israel responded with an unprovoked invasion, killing 15-20,000 Palestinians and Lebanese.
I just heard the @BBC radio say that the Israeli army was attacking Hezbollah targets yesterday & they also platformed someone bloviating about how Iran is ‘occupying’ Lebanon.
As a frontline journalist on the ground for the last 18 months, I would like to reiterate that I have not see any Iranian occupation bases in Lebanon. I have not seen any children killed here by Iranian bombs. I haven’t seen the IRGC massacring entire families on a daily basis. The IRGC has not shot at me or killed dozens of my colleagues in targeted attacks. Iran has not been systematically murdering healthcare workers (over 130) in Lebanon.
Israel has violently invaded and occupied Lebanon. The flag flying over the base in Al Khiam is an Israeli flag, not an Iranian flag. (Photo below)
The Lebanese Ministry of Health yesterday reported that 3,613 civilians have been killed and 11,072 have been wounded in Israeli attacks since March 2nd.
