Fort Benning weapons firing throughout the month includes Abrams Tanks, Bradley Fighting Vehicles, and other small-arms.

There will be multiple ranges firing various small arms, and community members may notice more sounds during these times.

Quarterly AVB preventative maintenance on Childers ACP will begin at 5:30 p.m. TODAY, May 21st. Maintenance and testing of the systems will create delays and lane closures at the access control point.

Fort Benning is scheduled to conduct prescribed burns within the Harmony Church and S33 training areas on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

The wind is predicted to be from the North-northwest and will help keep smoke away from sensitive areas.
