Celebrate Independence Day with us on July 4 as we celebrate the Nation's 250th birthday. With musical performances by Steve Ray Ladson and the 282d Army Band, as well as a 1st class fireworks display. Doors open at 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Today community leaders visited Fort Jackson as part of Leadership Columbia to learn about our mission as "We Make American Soldiers." While here, they completed the rappel tower to experience one of the many events a Trainee must complete in order to become a U.S. Army Soldier.
