I’m Francesca Hong, and I’m running for Governor of Wisconsin.
I’m a single mom juggling two jobs—and I bring my lived experience into every room I walk into. From the State Capitol to night shifts behind the bar, I know what working people are up against.
Whether it's on campus, in the streets, or in your wallet, the right to free speech and the right to peaceful protest are cornerstones of what makes America work. I'll always stand up for free speech and protest against all attacks.
That means overturning bills that conflate protesting genocide with hate speech or supporting legislation she wrote protecting the right to boycott or opposing legislation that serves corporations by criminalizing protest.
Tomorrow morning! Milwaukee DSA’s Power to the People campaign is rallying for public power before hearing at City Hall about replacing We Energies with a publicly owned municipal utility.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is the singular WI athlete of a generation. We took some risks & didn't hit; that's just how it works; and while I hoped against hope he might retire with the Bucks I will forever celebrate 2021 & his unparalleled dominance. Thanks, Giannis, for everything.
Had a great time bartending at Summer of '85 in Milwaukee on Juneteenth! Thank you to the owners Julie and Paul for inviting me to do my favorite things: sling drinks, make friends, and talk politics. Let's all support Black-owned businesses and keep building a better Wisconsin!
Juneteenth is a celebration of liberation, but this year’s joy is shadowed by the murder of Kohen Wiley and the ongoing violence Black communities have endured for generations.
Permanent affordability in Wisconsin starts with good jobs and good wages. That means investing in small business owners instead of handing tax breaks to mega-corporations that don't care about our state.
Happy Juneteenth, Wisconsin!
This holiday is both a celebration of progress and a reminder of the work that is yet to be done.
Because there is no freedom unless we are all free.
Overjoyed to learn that Salah Sarsour will finally be going home to his family. But let's be clear: This was an injustice from day one. We must abolish ICE.

💡 More than a governing philosophy, the Wisconsin Idea revolutionized the relationship between power and people. It brought ordinary citizens to the forefront of public policy by harnessing the power of government, research, and public institutions to advance the common good.
Which would you rather have — tax breaks for big tech, or all this great stuff that benefits working families in Wisconsin?

🚨 New policy alert! 🚨
Wisconsin is giving up $2 billion in revenue so big tech can get a tax break while working-class Wisconsinites are getting stuck with higher bills.
What if we spent that money on infrastructure that serves the entire state?
Wisconsinites want rail. We'll build the Madison–Milwaukee connection that Scott Walker infamously rejected in 2010, putting $50M for the line (and creating 200 permanent union jobs!) plus $200M for buses, bikes, sidewalks, and EV charging.
