@FreedomCharity NEW: Forced Marriage Figures 2025 show that 40% of tailored assistance cases involved children aged 17 and under.

This is not a private family matter. It is child protection.

The 2025 figures also show:

• 1,295 FMU contacts
• 406 tailored assistance cases
• 79% of victims were in the UK when referred
• 64% were British nationals
• 14% had no overseas element

Forced marriage can happen within reach of UK safeguarding systems.
Then, the third reply with the school's image:
Only 6% of referrals came from education professionals, despite 40% of tailored assistance cases involving children.
Schools may be the only safe place where a child is seen away from family pressure.

This is dishonour abuse: public degradation used to police women through fear. The Kurdish braid protest matters because it reverses the message, refusing to carry shame on the victim’s behalf.
