Do you know of anyone in need of food, clothing or household items? The Friends of Forgotten Children is currently operating curbside pickup food pantry services and social-distancing friendly clothing/household items for free to anyone in need, from 9am to 7:30pm every Thursday.
Community Gardens Part Two: #greenthumb
Addie, Cris, and Bob were back at it again this weekend, planting food at the Newmarket Community Garden for the church that operates a local food pantry. #Community gardening take lots of planning, love, and team work. #foodsecurity
Keller Williams Metro's annual #KWRedDay seeks to Renew, Energize, and Donate to their community each year. Last week, they dropped off food and toiletries from the drive they held and the shopping they did. Thank you so much KW Metropolitan!
United Baptist Church of Concord has purchased countless cases of toilet paper, paper towels, and food, facilitated by Kathi. They have also organized a home cooked meal delivery service, bringing large casseroles to feed our families. Thank you Donna for organizing this!
Steve Gamlin and the Beach Bums purchased a stove for us to replace one that had caught fire. Since that time, the Beach Bums have shopped for us and delivered food on several occasions, including a home-cooked Easter dinner. A special thank you to Steve’s mom for that!

During COVID, Friends Emergency Housing has been supporting children’s remote learning & helping clear any barriers . We communicate w/ schools & assist with advocating. With more computers for families, we are providing website information for child-friendly activities
Seniors & disabled people are often forgotten during hard times; Friends volunteers are ensuring that doesn’t happen by writing cards & notes. Friends has sent 100s of cards recognizing them while still maintaining safe distancing. Contact [email protected] to volunteer.
