📑 Finding a way to reduce the regulatory burden on small businesses is essential to driving up growth 📈
✅ That's why we're pleased to be front and centre in the Government's Small Business Regulatory Taskforce, which held its inaugural meeting today.
💡 Co-chaired by FSB's @tinamckenz and Small Business Minister Blair McDougall, the taskforce's aim is to find ways to streamline regulation and meet the Government’s target of reducing the regulatory burden by 25% by the end of this Parliament - helping to free up time and resources for small firms.
Business groups across Northern Ireland, including FSB, have joined together to condemn this week’s violence and disorder.
📺 Our policy chair, @tinamckenz, has been speaking to @bbcnewsline about the impact it’s having on businesses, and the need for leadership and unity ⤵️

FSB volunteers and staff have been remembering Neil Warwick, our much-missed policy champion for international trade, who passed away just before Christmas.
Neil was a passionate advocate for small businesses and a talented lawyer, with extensive expertise in EU and competition law, who lent his time and knowledge to FSB for many years.
Neil also supported a number of charities and community organisations in his home city of Newcastle.
We were honoured to be joined today by his sons Richard and Sam and to present to them a £1,000 donation to New Writing North, the Newcastle-based charity which Neil chaired.

Small firms are an integral part of the UK's tourism and hospitality industry.
For many, the summer months will be make-or-break after a bruising period of rising costs and squeezed consumer spending.
