New scouting report on sensational Japanese midfielder Kodai Sano.
There's way too much to like about this player and just as much to talk about.
Eye test is stupidly good with this one, super technical, tidy, dynamic player with great engine, work-rate and passing range to die for, dribbling ability that even wingers would've been jealous of.
Truly great talent coming out of Japan, this one ticks all boxes a modern midfielder should tick.
- High technical ability and flair ✅
- Great passing range ✅
- Press resistance ✅
- Tactically intelligent ✅
- Great engine ✅
- Contests every ball and every player ✅
- Ambi-pedal ✅
- Problem solver via passing, dribbling, carrying ✅
- Long range shot ✅
Shades of Mateus Fernandes, young Mateo Kovacic even Vitinha considering how much he looks for the ball and isn't afraid to make the team flow or progress at will.
Superb season so far with NEC - no wonder Brighton is interested in him.
Small announcement, I created a website for my work to serve as a portfolio of sorts.
I'll be posting my work on here as usual, but I'll also be adding it to the website which I'll also look to improve and add new features so hit me up with your thoughts and suggestions and I'll see what I can do.

@FlaMoleque Hard to say, depends who chases him and who buys him.
Market offers these conditions but I can see him going for 30-40mil and getting 3-5mil a year
New report is on one of the best young strikers in Europe - Alvaro Rodriguez.
A physical monster, dueling machine, transitional threat, complete and utter domination in the air, hold up and link up ability to match. Mobile, strong, powerful, raw but still so impressive - someone who runs off energy, tenacity and that relentless spirit.
Catalan-born, La Fabrica product and current front-man of Elche.
This is a correct graphic, the one in original post has him year older and right footed, while he's a leftie.
One of the favorites for Barca FC on here, so I decided to do a deeper dive on Nobel Mendy to find out if he's as good as advertised.
Unfortunately, I think his best performance which came against Real and Atletico have risen his stock a bit too high to the degree where I find him overrated among our fanbase.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's not a bad player or that he can't be a great player, but as of right now he makes too many mistakes across the board, struggles with many aspects of the game and they clearly point to a player who's extremely raw.
While I do like him I think as of now, he'd be simply a profile a team like Barca would need but without the quality to back it up across the whole season, but we've seen young players drastically improve within few months and considering this is Mendy's first pro season - I wouldn't be surprised if that happens rather quickly.
Not really sure why everyone thinks Yamal will end up playing centrally, in his pro career so far he hasn't shown that hunger to get himself in such situations + if he's to play there we need someone who will provide that depth to open some space for him.
I think he should be just given more freedom and motivation to move everywhere and be given a more overlapping RB who can provide proper support for him (think of someone like Hincapie but as a RB).
But yeah, Diomande makes too much of a difference on his own not to try to get him.
For the striker position I think there are plenty of options that provide just enough of what we need for a reasonable price.
@AnkurEncore Ngl I was a shit underwhelmed, you'd want a more progressive player out wide, someone with more confidence on the ball as well, think he has a lot to work on atm
i think schlotterbeck is elite, easily one of the best, not even in the market but in general.
So I'm all for him.
Senesi is a decent option who could very much improve us, but we gotta aim higher - but as you said, if we can get diomande or another difference maker somewhere else, Senesi is more than fine.
i'm worried about van de ven, he's giving me the ick considering how both him and tottenham are doing.
i know he's talented but body language is so poor.
Funnily enough, player who's statistically most similar to Nobel Mendy is van de ven (matching up 89% according to wyscout)
van de ven just slightly higher numbers across the board (not drastically)
My 2nd article, in depth analysis on Antonio Nusa.
Week and a half time into analyzing his play, rewatching matches, checking 3gbs of footage, diving deep into the data and enjoying every single step along the way.
The more I watched, the more I've adored the player he is.
There is soo much in his game to love, from the dribbles, the flair, but for me it's his natural feel for the game. It's very hard to explain but watching him play feels right, the passes he makes, the way he does them, the areas he moves into.
His technical level is extremely high, he's very polished across the board, has some typical young player's issues to fix but that usually comes with experience and he's still just 20.
Such an impressive season by Nusa, his pure production numbers aren't that good, but the way he plays, impacts the game is what makes him so good.
This was a fun experience, hopefully you like it as much.

@GermnCruz189067 Thank you 🙏🏻
I'm not that big of a fan of Malick Fofana, I find him daily one dimensional and limited, more of a runner and finisher than creator.
Nusa however, I like a ton.
