The internet has changed what opportunity looks like.
Today, where you're from matters a lot less than the skills you have and what you can do with them.
With digital skills, where you're from doesn't limit where you can go.

Earlier this year, while facilitating a practical workshop, I realized that many people still struggle with using essential workplace tools like Microsoft Office, Excel, Slack, and other productivity tools needed to thrive in today's workforce.
To help bridge this gap, @FUSEVarsity will be hosting a free physical workshop focused on practical workplace productivity skills.
Today, we had our first bonus session with our Cohort 8 Scholars on how they can build the right soft skills in 2026.
And here are 5 key points from our guest facilitator that stood out for us! 🧵⏬
(Retweet for anyone who may need to see this.)

5. Emotional intelligence is a non-negotiable in 2026.
Understanding yourself and others will shape how far you go in any team or career path.
If you’re building your career this year, don’t just focus on what you know; focus on how you show up.

One major highlight from this cohort with @FUSEVarsity so far has been learning how to build a complete social media strategy from scratch.
I’m realizing social media mgt is more than posting, it’s strategy, audience understanding, and consistency. Excited to keep learning!

Our first bonus session for our cohort 8 scholars is happening tomorrow! 🤩
It’s our way of helping our scholars strike a balance between the hard skills they’re learning and the soft skills required to thrive in today’s job market.
Looking forward to the session!

To support our Scholars in developing the right mix of hard and soft skills for the future of work, we’re thrilled to host Harmony Osazuwa as our Guest Facilitator for this session.
In this session, we’ll be exploring the role of soft skills in career growth, why they matter just as much as technical skills, and how Scholars can develop the communication, collaboration, and professional skills needed to thrive in the workplace.
