@SolidSnake1MGS@F1BigData Unfortunately, per the FIA investigation report and the FIA safety department review before the halo was implemented (https://t.co/SV0I1e6faP) - it would not have saved Jules
@F1BigData Unless you calculate based on current points system, when he’d be behind both Nakajima and Sato… And still (just) behind Kobayashi when his 2009 points are converted…
@F1BigData The stats don’t capture how insane the 63/65 seasons were for Clark. In 1963 led every lap in 5 races. 2 other wins he led 79/82 & 50/86 laps. Led 61 laps in Monaco, leading when retired. Led in Germany before mechanical issue. US lost a lap at the start but fastest after. GOAT.
@Lego_Pilot@F1BigData@UnracedF1 I believe not. I believe Ascari is highest at 55%. But there may be Indy 500 leaders that could potentially be higher if you trawled through a few of those when they counted…
@wearetherace I don’t think it needs to be any more complex than if <x remains, the clock resets to x minutes, and those that were on a fast lap, or are about to start a fast lap when the red flag / yellow flag being allowed to go back out…
@JoestF1@UnracedF1 I’ve heard he’s always been exceptional for feedback, so I’m not surprised Alain wanted to keep him! Sad we never got to see him more than that one race tho…
@JoestF1@UnracedF1 I was really sad, particularly after his exceptional quali and then running in 11th place before his wing failure in Brazil 99, that Stephane never got a proper shot in F1…
Dear David Attenborough,
Congratulations on reaching your 100th lap around the sun, young man!
Thank you for sharing the wonders of our world with such care and curiosity.
Here’s to many more years, slow and steady wins the race!
With admiration,
Jonathan the Tortoise
@PlantsBikesBass I’m “old enough” in parkrun terms to remember a pre-barcode era when you used to just give your name at the finish and it used to then get manually typed in 😅 As you say, once you have the results, it’s purely a “presentation” question - gotta sort by something!
@PlantsBikesBass Interestingly (subjective!) when French parkruns were active the same system was used, but due to what I believe are legal reasons (I think to bypass health certs for “competitive events”) the finished data was sorted by name with positions removed, leaving just name, time & club
@Se_Railway Genuine question here. The Bromley North shuttle is, give or take a handful of exceptions, half hourly. It takes 5 mins to go from one end to the other. Sits there for 10, and then goes back the other way. Why could this not be every 15 mins as well? Or, back to the pre-Covid 20?
@danwellsracing If you can tune out of the super clipping and PU, the cars look a lot more “on the edge”, and drivers are making more mistakes. Acceleration out of corners is immense, drivers struggling with that - which is good to watch and expect to see some overtakes under traction
@frentzen_hh@UnracedF1 I remember this! I also remember the weird left flat-out kink after the final hairpin into the main straight that I always thought would’ve been dangerous in the wet 🤣
