The SEQUEL to the best-selling interview prep book is finally released! Beyond Cracking the Coding Interview is packed with strategies and tools -- triggers, boosters, and new algorithms -- to tackle tough interview questions. Haven't gotten it in my hands yet... I think my copy arrives tomorrow! https://t.co/DOp15dzYB9
@gayleviv@PatriotMeLee Okay y’all. 🤣 Clicking the name above takes you to me because X think it’s an X username (due to the “@“) but doesn’t recognize the “-“ as part of the username, so it links to my X account. Haven’t gotten any unexpected payments, so don’t worry. 😉
PMs still message me: "I loved your book!" So it was fun to talk about it with @aakashgupta on his podcast.
We covered:
1. How to crack behavioral questions
2. The approach to case interviews
3. How to get interviews in the tough market of 2025

@sharmaple69 @randomrecruiter That’s not quite accurate. Yes, recruiters make more if you do, but their major incentive is to close deals. The amount of extra money they make for a higher offer is minimal compared with just getting more offers through.
@sm@garrytan No, she still supports ethnic studies and she stills says she teaches it. What leads you to believe that this class is a “vehicle to indoctrinate anti-semitism”?
Dangerous road to go down. “I don’t agree with the things you believe. Therefore, I will expose you to the wrath of the internet and destroy your life.” Good way to ensure no diversity of thought and no one willing to speak up for controversial views. Better hope that the group think aligns with yours.
@xaviguasch A sequel. They are approached quite differently — whereas the first offers a few frameworks and then walks through a bunch to questions, this one dives deep into frameworks and interleaves problems.

My 11 year old is reading coding questions and is every candidate right now.
“But you could do it in one python line / with a different data structure.”
“I DON’T CARE. Look, interviews aren’t about solving the question. It’s about testing you and getting signal from you.”
Excited to have a mock coding interview in which I was an interviewee to be used in the upcoming book, Beyond cracking the coding interview (official sequel to CTCI by @gayle) by @alinelernerLLC, the founder of https://t.co/4Tv9nFthKx 🎉😀

@MjPatera@Michael951413 Because there is data to show that when mortality rates are high, people have more babies. They sort of overcompensate on average for possible deaths. So by reducing mortality rates, we also reduce the birth rate.
@entityunknown@Michael951413 Since he went into good detail, could you explain then what the link is? How did he say that vaccines would reduce the population?
@HowardKushlan@VladShumovv@garrytan@rwalker1072 Any large group is going to have certain people who act disrespectful, say stupid things, etc. It doesn’t mean their whole perspective is wrong. Now, kindly, please stop derailing conversations. I don’t think anyone cares about your perspective that a specific parent isn’t nice.
@HowardKushlan@VladShumovv@garrytan@rwalker1072 The anti-math people have made a consistent attempt to spread falsehoods about candidates. The anti-math *president of the school board* calls those who point out obvious statistical issues racist. The anti-math superintendent literally bullied his own school board member. So, no
