Congratulations, Amawbia mulu’m.
Yesterday, I had the privilege of joining the faithful at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Amawbia, for a solemn Mass marking the Centenary Anniversary of the Catholic Church in our town. It was a historic and uplifting occasion that brought the community together in thanksgiving.
The celebration was filled with reflection, gratitude, and joy as we honored 100 years of steadfast faith, service, and spiritual growth. This remarkable milestone is a testament to the resilience and devotion of the Catholic community in Amawbia.
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the entire congregation. May the legacy of unity, devotion, and impact continue to flourish for generations to come. Congratulations once again.

Farewell to a Dependable Ally
Yesterday was a deeply sorrowful moment as I, together with my campaign organization, paid a condolence visit to the Okoye family of Umuoramma village, Awka South LGA, during the burial of my dear friend and brother, Chief Iwuchukwu Daniel Okoye (Omeibuo Na Awka), who was tragically assassinated by yet‑to‑be‑identified gunmen in Awka.
Omeibuo was more than a friend, he was a dependable ally and a cheerful soul. His unwavering commitment to good governance and his firm belief that a new Nigeria is possible defined his life and service. He stood as a pillar of support and hope, inspiring those around him with courage and optimism.
Rest well, my brother. You ran your race with heart, courage, and dignity. May the Almighty receive you with the same warmth and grace you so freely gave to others. Your legacy of loyalty and hope will never be forgotten.

Yesterday, 9th May, I joined leaders and delegates from across the country at the 1st Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Convention.
On behalf of my colleagues in the National Assembly, I had the privilege of addressing the Convention. I declared boldly that the NDC is the party with the vision and courage to rescue Nigeria from its current hardship and lead us toward renewal.
I also called on more women to rise, step forward with courage, and claim their rightful place in politics. It is time for women to use their voices, their platforms, and their power to shape the destiny of our nation. When women lead, society transforms, and our nation moves closer to the New Nigeria 🇳🇬 we all believe is POssible.

Yesterday, on the floor of the House of Representatives, I stood alongside colleagues and fellow visionaries to formally announce our registration with the NDC.
This decision was not taken lightly. Having served my people faithfully and delivered tangible results in Awka North and South, I realized that to deepen our progress and truly secure a better future, we must align with a movement that embodies fairness, accountability, and opportunity for all. That vision is what Mr. @PeterObi represents, and it is the vision I share.
I am proud to announce that I will be contesting under the NDC to continue representing my people. Our journey has always been about service, and now it enters a new chapter, one that will strengthen our constituency and contribute to building the New Nigeria we all desire.
To my friends, supporters, and campaign family: your trust, energy, and commitment have carried us this far. I ask you to stay with me as we take this bold step together. This is not the end; it is the beginning of something greater.
A New Nigeria is POssible, and Awka North and Awka South are proudly leading the way.

Reviving Union Secondary School Amawbia
For years, Union Secondary School Amawbia was in a state of neglect. The administrative block was dilapidated, classrooms were bare, and students struggled to learn in an unconducive environment. Science practicals had been suspended for years because the laboratories were unusable, leaving students disadvantaged in their academic pursuits.
That story is now changing through my intervention as Member representing Awka North and Awka South Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Through tireless advocacy, I attracted the reconstruction, furnishing, and equipping of the school’s administrative block.
When completed, the project will deliver fully furnished classrooms and offices, a modern ICT laboratory with computers and digital tools, state‑of‑the‑art Physics, Biology, and Chemistry laboratories, a functional sick bay, solar‑powered electricity, and a borehole to provide clean water for students and staff.
For me, this is about more than repairing structures; it is about restoring the dignity of learning. My intervention has brought new life to the school, turning years of neglect into hope and proving that true representation delivers lasting change. I believe education is the foundation of a better society.

As we step into this new month, may it bring renewed strength, fresh opportunities, and abundant blessings. Let us continue to believe that a New Nigeria is POssible, where dignity of labor is respected, justice thrives, and progress is shared by all.
On behalf of Awka North and South Federal Constituency, I celebrate every worker and wish you a month filled with peace, joy, and fulfillment.
