Delighted to announce that in the Autumn there will be a 20th Anniversary screening tour of ‘It’s Nice Up North’ which was filmed by my friend, the late Martin Parr. Dates TBA shortly, but in the meantime here’s the new trailer!

If you’re in the Faversham area tomorrow evening, I’ll be chatting about my John Shuttleworth ‘Takes the Biscuit’ book @FavershamLit . And I promise I’ll try to avoid that silly ‘thinking’ pose, as seen below!
King Charles says he cares about the environment, so you’d expect him to stand behind cheap, clean power. I’ve signed the petition to demand the Crown Estate lower fees on seabeds and make wind farms more affordable to build. Will you join me? https://t.co/Ss1tDz87Ds
Another death to report.. the great guitarist and bassist John Scott has sadly passed away. A true musical maverick, he played everything except drums on ‘Jilted John’. And the bass line he came up with for ‘Going Steady’ is pure genius.
I’m shocked and so sad to hear the news that my friend, Martin Parr, died yesterday. He was an amazing photographer, a great bloke all round, an inspiring oddball, and a reliable friend.
The Pickers is a brilliant documentary about migrant food workers. I urge you to see it if you can. ALSO.. Secure your free ticket: Fair Food Program meets THE PICKERS (online) https://t.co/O9YQvQdwDc
Celebrating 40 years of entertainment from the incomparable Graham Fellows - Jilted John - @johnshuttlewrth
Glorious night! Even met the amazing Nick Park!
Thanks Graham. Funniest speech ever! X
Just bumped into Buzzcocks legend Steve Diggle @Lthanwordsfest in Manchester. First time we’ve met, though you might think we share the same hairdresser!
As families face rising bills, and extreme weather causes devastation around the world, oil and gas companies shouldn’t get a tax break. Tell Chancellor Rachel Reeves to not turn her back on climate and communities. Add your name to this petition, thanks! https://t.co/VbyvhzGe8u
Due to popular demand we've got more tickets available for @gdfellows GRAHAM FELLOWS at #Louder2025!
Join him in conversation with @LordWakering taking Jilted John, John Shuttleworth & more!
Fri 14th Nov, 8.45pm, @innsideuk Manchester

They may look like they’re auditioning for Oliver!, but these 2 chaps played significant roles in my musical past. Snuff (on the left) played the drums on my 1985 LP ‘Love at the Hacienda’. And Mog - bass on the original (lost) demo of Jilted John. Consider yourselves my mates!
Extremely sad to hear of the death of Anthony Ryan Carter, better known as ‘Tosh’. He was the boss of Rabid Records and the man who made ‘Jilted John’ a hit back in ‘78. Tosh also launched the careers of John Cooper Clarke, Slaughter and the Dogs, Frank Sidebottom and others.
Super to bump into ‘Mr Fringe’ Christopher Richardson - at the Pleasance in Edinburgh. I’m here for John Shuttleworth - Pleasance Upstairs today (a venue I last played in 92 with Guide to Stardom) Then Pleasance One from tomorrow til Friday 15th at 4 pm. https://t.co/uuP7CrcRqr
I should have posted this a week ago, apologies. An in-depth interview with LBC’s James O’Brien. At times I felt like I was talking to a shrink, but I guess that’s all part of James’s inimitable probing style. Warning: contains moderately amusing moments!

The Leicester premiere of Chicken Town. Wonderfully presented by Phoenix Arts Leicester. Great British comedy set within the claustrophobic confines of small town life - making the mundane epic. I hope that they eventually let @gdfellows go home for his tea!
Some of my poems are extremely short. For example:
If it’s got that swing - what does it mean?
But most are longer..
The most exciting thing about this town
Is that there’s nothing going on
I saw a dog the other day look round
When it heard a baby yawn
(to be continued)
