7 years ago I walked into Studio71 as Head of Gaming at 21….the youngest executive in the company.
Before that I was a college dropout getting rejected from every job I applied to. Every MCN passed on me. Nobody wanted to bet on the kid who’d been making YouTube videos since he was 13. Studio71 was the first place that eventually offered me a job but only after I built my own business working with creators.
Yesterday we bought the company.
If you told 21-year-old me this would happen, I would’ve called you crazy. Hell, I still kind of can’t believe it typing this out.
Work your ass off. Bet on yourself when nobody else will. Don’t take no for an answer.
You can make anything happen.
Wardogs vs MW4 🤔
Small independent studio vs major AAA studio with thousands of people working on it. Maybe it’s time for Activision to finally list to its community and stop relying on these PhD data scientists and consultants.
You think if you wanted to do a true A/B test you wouldn’t put 1 open playlist vs many other non open playlists especially a 24/7 transit playlist 😂
Can’t wait to see the ‘’data’’
💰Inflation
Get kills. Get paid. Get marked.
The more cash you stack, the bigger the target on your back. Overtime? Everything’s worth more.
Make it count. 🫡
@TaylorLorenz Anyone familiar with the history of the PC revolution, dotcom, or rise of social media could have predicted that the timelines and societal impact these guys were promising were wildly exaggerated. History often rhymes

Also isn’t it weird that all the cod games from the ‘’golden era’’ were made with team’s significantly smaller and less funded than today. Goes to show the more cooks in the kitchen the worse a product will likely be
Transit 213 looks so fun….Not sure why everyone is complaining. Would you rather that or Shipment / Nuketown for the 100th time? People complain about them recycling the same old maps over and over again and then when they make a new fun small map everyone bitches….smh
Its such a disappointment playing MW4 and nobody has mics yet when you get on BO2 everyone has mics. Really does take away one of the biggest reasons to play COD. I miss talking shit :(
Well if that was the case then BO7 wouldn’t have been the worst selling cod of the past many years and they would take notes from the overwhelming interest and sales from the BO1 and BO2 ports. They also have to expect with GTA coming out they’d have to put out an amazing product to have any chance of not getting crushed
Instead of listening to a bunch of PhD data scientists or some consultants have some gut instincts and feelings. Ever heard of the saying ‘’When you’re explaining ur losing?’’
I gurantee if you talk to the heads of your studios they would all rather go back to the old school matchmaking system instead of these corporate responses from some data scientists you guys have working at Activision that likely never actually play the games.
We know some players like Open, but the issues were clear.
For 80% of players in BO7 from launch to Season 04, Open vs. Standard saw:
• 32.7% higher quit rates
• 14.4% fewer kills per minute
• 5.3% lower win rates
• 59.2% more “Not Fun” ratings
On Nuketown 24/7, quit rates jumped 141%. Our most competitive players were leaving 1 in every 3 matches.
Quit rates skyrocketed and it was disruptive across every skill group.
