In one of the most complex humanitarian environments in modern history, GHF delivered 187 million free meals directly to civilians in Gaza in under 4.5 months – safely, efficiently, and without a single instance of looting or diversion.
As we conclude our emergency operations, we leave behind a proven model for how adaptability, local partnership, and accountability can redefine what effective humanitarian aid looks like in conflict zones.

GHF's Executive Director John Acree released the following statement today in response to the safe release of hostages in Gaza:
“Today, we join countless others in profound relief and joy at the safe release of the hostages in Gaza. We extend our unwavering support to them and their families as they are reunited and begin to heal. This moment represents a long-awaited step toward peace and a measure of justice for those who have suffered for far too long.
“Throughout this period of transition, GHF will continue making tactical adjustments to our operations. These short-term adjustments do not alter our long-term plans or mission.
“The GHF commitment remains the same: to deliver aid consistently and directly to as many families in Gaza as possible, for however long it takes.”
In partnership with our mission in Gaza, @SamaritansPurse has airlifted 12 relief flights carrying vital aid.
Their dedicated team is providing medical care and administering Ready-To-Use Supplementary Food to help prevent and treat malnutrition among women and children.
We’re deeply grateful for their continued partnership.
GHF’s local workers have been the heroes of our mission.
They’ve risked everything, often moving their families to safety from Hamas’s threats, just to keep serving their community.
Because of their courage, we’ve been able to deliver over 185 million meals to the people of Gaza.

This is what humanitarian innovation looks like.
When Palestinian women told us they needed safer access to aid—and a way to reserve in advance, we listened.
We built Women’s Only distributions and a reservation system from the ground up.
Today, thousands of women receive lifesaving food each day with dignity, security, and efficiency.
These children are why we show up each day. ❤️
Over 1,400 patients have received care at our sites. 🩺
Alongside our aid distributions, @SamaritansPurse’s medical teams are treating injuries, infections, and providing care for pregnant mothers.
