Congratulations, Aristide, on an amazing career. Your impact on Rwandan basketball will be felt for years to come in the next generation of players. Wishing you success in the next chapter.
During this ending year, I read different books including “The Path less traveled” by Prof @RulisaS thanks to my friend Dr @GHertier who gave me the book. I couldn’t stop reading till the end since I could relate to the story “from cattle fields to operating rooms”. 👇
Thank you high commissioner of UK 🇬🇧 in Rwanda 🇷🇼 @A_ThorpeUK to visit my village. It was a great honor to host you and made in Umushumba . Amata aduhame ❤️🇷🇼🇬🇧

🚨 New FIGO guidance on preventing post-caesarean sepsis
Post-caesarean sepsis is a leading cause of maternal mortality, with infection rates as high as 20% globally.
The new review in the @IJGOLive, provides evidence-based strategies to prevent these infections – including antibiotics 30–60 mins before surgery, vaginal & skin antiseptic prep, safe surgical practices, like glove changes after placental delivery and early recognition and rapid treatment to save lives.
🌍 With 75,000 maternal deaths annually linked to sepsis, implementing these practices is critical.

@Nzeyinno The reasons for this are unknown. This leads to two aortic arches, one on either side of trachea and esophagus of the baby forming a circle of vessels. If this circle is too tight, it can cause symptoms in the baby due to the compression of trachea or esophagus.
Double Aortic arch .
Most of the time it is the only anomaly in the baby and rarely it can be associated with other cardiac abnormalities.Rarely it can be associated with a genetic cause such as a deletion on one chromosome, called “22q11 deletion”.
@Nzeyinno Double aortic arch is an anatomic variation of the aorta, a large blood vessel that carries blood from the heart to the rest of the body that has an arch-like configuration at its top, it is a congenital variation which means it is present since before birth.
In fetal megacystis with longitudinal blad- der diameter of 7–15 mm there is a risk of about 25% that the fetus will have a chromosomal defect but in the chromosomally normal group there is spontaneous res- olution of the megacystis in about 90% of cases.
