Attention all former users of Cheap Bots Done Quick:
I created a similar site that should be a drop-in replacement! It uses Tracery just like CBDQ. You can even make your bot tweet things in order, and there's a tweet preview feature for testing!

@nbabybelllyric Most bots are broken at the moment due to Twitter breaking things, see some of my recent tweets/replies. I am working on an overhaul of the site to fix it. It's a big change so it's taking longer than I wanted. Please DM me your Patreon and I can refund you, sorry about this.
When your bot tries to tweet, it's encountering the error mentioned in my most recent tweet. Essentially, Twitter stopped supporting free Developer accounts and has started rolling out that change, breaking existing bots.
I am working on an overhaul to the site to support tweeting via a different way, but it might be another week or two before it's finished. Sorry about this.
Unfortunately your bot is trying to tweet, but encountering the error described in my most recent tweet. Thank you for supporting the site, but I can refund you (DM me your patreon user). I am working on overhauling the site so bots encountering this error can function again, but that may still be a week or two away.
Today Twitter randomly changed how their auth works, it seems to be broken if you aren't already logged in, and now is broken for the twitter domain as well. As a temporary workaround, try ensuring you are already logged into twitter in the browser, and on the page gimmickbots redirects you to, change twitter to x in the URL. That seems to work. Sorry about this.
It looks like maybe you managed to log in eventually? The error could've been caused by things like having multiple GimmickBots tabs open, or some browser extension interfering, or something else. If it keeps happening you might try opening the site in Incognito so you start with a fresh browser state.
Not sure what your bot account is, but you're probably encountering the issue I mentioned in my most recent tweet. Twitter intentionally broke free Twitter dev accounts, so it's erroring when you try to tweet or start the bot or other things. So far it seems mostly limited to new users trying to sign up, but not always. I'm working on an update for the site so it will work for new users again.
It seems Twitter has started opting newly-registered developer accounts in to a different developer dashboard that lacks a free tier. As a result, some newly-registered users are unable to get their bot tweeting since Twitter returns an error, "Payment Required". If you've recently signed up for GimmickBots and get redirected to console.x\.com rather than remaining on https://t.co/PpM4uCvsAR when you go to your developer dashboard, you are affected. Existing bots that are already set up are not affected.
Hopefully it's just a bug that they will fix. It's only been a few days since it started, and it wouldn't be the first time Twitter has broken something.
If you aren't being redirected to console.x\.com but your bot still isn't tweeting, it's probably a different issue. Feel free to DM for help.
@lazaruscontract@infreshhell Your bot is getting the issue in the tweet you replied to, since it was made recently. So far this seems to be an intentional break by Twitter with their new dev dashboard no longer supporting free dev accounts. I am working on updates in the coming weeks to address this.
@leechejamyum@leechefeels Your bot does appear to be encountering the issue above unfortunately. I assume you're redirected to console.x\.com ? It will let you create an account and make credentials without paying, but the credentials will not work.
@ryosangbot It was another twitter issue. They were returning 404s when the bot tried to upload images, for a few hours. Seems like they resolved it now. https://t.co/xD374258Gn
@ryosangbot Twitter returned a 503 Service Unavailable error when your bot tried to tweet. They were having issues https://t.co/xD374258Gn. Odd that it happened repeatedly at the same time, but it seems to have worked today. You can DM if you need further help.
@NOX_BZ When your bot tries to tweet, Twitter returns a 402 error, which is "Payment Required". I've never seen that before. It sounds like maybe you accidentally set up a paid account instead of a free account? You can DM if you have further questions.
It looks like when your bot tries to tweet, Twitter is returning an error: "Your client app is not configured with the appropriate oauth1 app permissions for this endpoint". It sounds like your bot is not set up correctly, or the API keys you used weren't correct. You might want to click the API Keys button in GimmickBots to redo the setup, and make sure to follow the steps, and that it looks like the screenshots. As part of that, you might also regenerate your API keys and make sure to paste the right ones into the boxes on that setup page. DM if you need more help.
