No one is overlooking Gen Xers who can adapt as they are a great resource, it's the ones that are like "I huv turdy yrs experienz and a MASTURS DEGREE" and it's like ma'am it's your first week on the job please sit and learn how the business operates...
Gen X employees are often overlooked in conversations about workplace engagement, but they can play a critical role in mentoring teams, bridging technology gaps, and fully leveraging the latest tech.
Hereβs a quick guide to better supporting and engaging this generation.

@A_Goode_Man and please don't get me wrong a team effort is important, but it's because I didn't walk around acting like that they assumed they were the "rockstar"
@A_Goode_Man We had one person whose work made like a few K a month (not even enough to cover his salary) start trying to swing their dick around and when people were like "uhh you're not even in the top 10 of sales" they were like "Well who is??" "Well 9 of them are Jennifer..."
@WhiteMageJenny It only removes the bugs that are really hard to find without simulating something a billion times to get the same error or problem, testers can focus on fun and enjoyment vs 100 of them sending in the same report tbh.
@A_Goode_Man I've only had a few good experiences hiring people straight into management and they were always people we had previously worked with. Our business manager for example worked with us like 20 yrs ago.
Experience in adapting is more important than experience in a specific thing is what a lot of people don't realize. There are Gen Xers who are absolutely jacks of all trades and scale follows them wherever they go.
I don't care that you were the district manager of Toys R US for 20 years. I care more that you've got revenue increases on paper from Toys R US, and Princess Auto, and Selling magazines even if you only spent a few years at each.
My AAA friends send me stuff from time to time...AI can't exactly rig a unique complex model but it can rig and animate simple models that people quite frankly hate having to rig for a simple effect. It's not going to replace an AAA team but it definitely takes the tedium out of annoying tasks and lets creative people be more creative. Think like rigging a cabinet door to open, that stuff is nanoseconds vs 15 mins to an hour.
I saw a video of a towing or repo company lady I forget which...complaining about getting paid less than her co-workers that were in a diff state at the corporate HQ (she was remote) and she was going on and on about how long she had worked. Not at THAT company, but she expected it to come out of that company's hide. She had only been at that company a year or two. That's the people workplaces have beef with.
First week on the job you don't even learn how it makes money, just try to tear everything down and build it up in the image of layoffs past because it was easier for you lol.
Being older and in the general vicinity of an industry does not make you an expert in a rapid technology growth period of civilization, if I took 2 years off I'd be out of the loop.
People don't understand you can't just wait for someone else to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars into building a brand and then snatch it like it's continental breakfast at the hotel that's literally what trademarks exist to stop. Fortnite has done many other Bunnies that do not look like this, this was a choice specifically around a brand that is extra popular during Halloween.
We are in the top most searched toy brands ffs.
@dojan@americanmcgee It's also very apparent you don't know who he is. He's literally featured multiple times on the Unreal Engine Website for his use of the engine in Blockbuster hits. He is not some rando, they could have called π
He actually owns 400 distinct bunny plushies in that style.
He popularized that style (twice I might add) and woke up to hundreds if not thousands of people confused that it was the brand he owns.
It has nothing to do with owning a concept, go look up trademark confusion and figure out that you're not entitled to be rude to someone just because you have no idea how this stuff actually works or what he is even saying.
