“This opportunity has provided more than just financial relief; it has restored my sense of stability, dignity, and confidence in securing a better future for my children.”
For Nesreen, the opportunity to work means more than earning an income.
As a single mother of four in Saida, Lebanon, Nesreen is responsible for providing for her family.
Through a cash-for-work programme implemented by GOAL and partner Naba'a (@NABAA2001), she is now earning an income to help meet her family's everyday needs.

With support from the @eu_echo, GOAL team in Syria has provided cash assistance to 1,018 families in Kafr Nabl sub-district during the first round of distribution under the BRIDGE programme.
This assistance lets families decide how to use it based on their needs and priorities, giving them the flexibility to choose what their household needs most.
Cash is freedom. The freedom to choose.

Cash assistance empowers refugees to meet their essential needs, make their choices, and rebuild a sense of stability in challenging circumstances.

Paying for healthcare should not leave a family struggling to afford food or rent.
Yet, GOAL and @sgdd_asam needs assessments in Türkiye found some refugee families are borrowing for treatment or cutting spending on essentials.
