In a world that is more divided than ever, our values are always worth fighting for.
On this 250th celebration of our country, let’s come together and work hard to build a better tomorrow.
Happy July 4th, Michigan 🇺🇸
Thank you to Leader Brinks, Speaker Hall, and legislators on both sides of the aisle for coming together for Michiganders. I am proud of this budget, my final as Governor. It will leave our state stronger than before and keep things moving forward for Michigan.
Today’s balanced, bipartisan budget delivers for every Michigander. Over the past seven and a half years, we’ve fixed more roads, supported more students, secured more investments, and expanded more rights than any other administration in state history.
This budget builds on our progress by strengthening student literacy, opening doors for more housing opportunity, protecting health care, fixing our damn roads, and lowering costs for all Michiganders.
Far too many Michiganders are being priced out of their American Dream. Right now, a house is too expensive to even think about a picket fence. We must come together to cut red tape and streamline zoning so we can build more housing and help families afford their American Dream.
When temperatures are soaring, bring pets indoors whenever possible. Never leave them outside without access to shade and plenty of fresh water. Hot pavement can also burn paws, so limit walks to the cooler morning or evening hours.

I’m glad the legislature extended my executive order to provide Michiganders relief at the gas pump through the end of the summer.
We’re saving Michigan motorists 10 to 20 cents per gallon while they face increased prices driven by the war in Iran.
✅We’re keeping communities safe with commonsense gun legislation, safe storage education, and more support for law enforcement.
✅We’re attracting new businesses, investments, and more jobs.
And we will keep working hard to get things done till the very end.
Getting things done is what we do:
✅We’re fixing our damn roads, bridges, and infrastructure.
✅We’re lowering costs with affordable education, tax cuts, and expanded childcare.
✅We’re protecting freedoms for reproductive care, LGBTQ+ rights, and hair discrimination.

Pride is not just a month. Authenticity doesn’t stop on the 30th, visibility doesn’t hide away till next June — supporting the LGBTQ+ community never stops.
As we close out Pride Month, the fight for equality continues. To LGBTQ+ Michiganders, know you are accepted 24/7, 365 🏳️🌈
Ensuring public safety takes all of us. When we work together on commonsense gun violence prevention, invest in community safety, and support for our law enforcement — we keep each other safe.
I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Clinton Township native, Emily Barker, who lost her life while fighting a wildfire in Colorado.
My condolences go out to Emily’s loved ones. Her bravery in the face of danger kept people safe and will not soon be forgotten.
