Prior to joining Global, Sophie completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Calgary. Sophie’s past work experience includes working as a Communications Assistant for Mayor Gondek at the City of Calgary, and more recently as a Policy Analyst with the Nonprofit Chamber. Her work experience allowed her to build her skillset in policy monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and issues management activities. Through these roles, she developed a strong foundation in research, strategic communications, and translating complex information into clear and accessible messaging.
Sophie is passionate about her community, in particular supporting not for profits to understand and influence the policy landscape. We’re looking forward to drawing on this experience as she jumps in to help the Western Canada team with all things public affairs.
