@runnermjr@RAMBO25nt It is a ridiculous sample size. And several of the teams they have done well against, Baltimore, Toronto, Oakland are barely under 500. In 10 days this number could change.
@BrandonTierney The lineup has holes I agree. Stinks is ridiculous. They are second in baseball in ops+. Don't like that, first in AL and 4th in baseball in runs.
@burkes_ciera@TalkinYanks Same question.. why? Caballero has been a utility player his entire career the team has been humming on all cylinders for the last week with this arrangement why exactly do they need to pick a shortstop right now
@ejk666249656 Elite Fielding at shortstop and elite base running are important factors that go to the value of the player. And a 141 ops Plus is elite. The total package has been the most valuable so far. If you are a winning team only MVP person fine but you can't just write off defense
@The_Bleacherss The Yankees don't need an upgrade in cf. Grisham has been fine. The luck is starting to even out. He has hit the ball well all year really. Not a problem. Agree on the catcher and bullpen
@eyyankees His offense has been putrid this year no doubt but it isn't like there's a better replacement waiting and at least you're getting stellar defense.
@ejk666249656 In 2024 he was one of the top few hitters in baseball. For the other couple of seasons he's been a well above average hitter although not at the judge ohtani level. So what, he's an enormous asset and probably the first player taken in a draft of all of MLB today.
@MostlySportsGuy@BarstoolHubbs Stop with this narrative. Seattle is a solid team just off to a so-so start, Texas is pretty good, Toronto just finished nearly winning the world series... It's silly to gauge things by record this early in the season.
@BarstoolHubbs Honestly, I never really got the panic although at this point I'm not surprised. Every underlying stat has continued to show the Yankees as the class of the American League by a good amount
