There are two levels of madness happening re Black British music representation on the radio.

1. You have an ecosystem of artists PAYING people to try and get their music on the playlists of these stations. For most this is a complete waste of money but I don’t blame them for trying. But this is taking away limited resources artists have to get their ideas off the ground.

2. We, the licence payers are PAYING for music from America sometimes over 20 years old to be played during peak listening hours. When we have 100s of active artists and 60 years of our own musical history here not represented.
