Work is continuing on #LaceMatrix@galway2020 today, with Ger expertly weaving in the thread ends, as you can see below. It is quite intense work, as you can imagine there are a lot of ends to weave. But it is progressing! @RdeBuitlear We should have more photos to share soon!

A new lace sculpture celebrating the revival of lacemaking in Headford will be installed in Headford tomorrow, and will continue for several days.
Commissioned by @headfordlace, ‘Lace Matrix’ by Róisín de Buitléar is funded by Galway 2020 under the Small Towns Big Ideas programme
