Have you heard about our Gamban @discord Hub?
In recovery, one of the biggest issues people face is filling the time usually spent gambling.
This is why we have created this hub, a place for anyone affected by gambling harm to get together, chat, game, socialise, or just read what others have to say.
This is a safe, stigma-free space that anyone can join.

Due to strong demand, the MGCB is adding 100 additional free Gamban licenses—giving residents more access to powerful gambling-blocking tools. Learn more at https://t.co/UYu3Nr2R32.
Under Andrew Rhodes’s watch at the Gambling Commission they:
👉Never removed a licence from a big operator for failings.
👉Let slot venues operate with near impunity.
👉Allowed gambling firms to keep proceeds of crime, even after serious failings.
👉Didn’t act against operators due to secret deals – known as “special measures” – even over failings where people had died.
And now he’s gone to work for a “strategic advisory firm to the gambling industry”.
Does that seem right?

Really appreciate everyone helping bring attention to this conversation. Huge thank you to @TheAthletic and @nytimes for covering a topic that impacts way more people in the hobby than most realize.
Also very grateful to @gambanapp for the shoutout in the article and for recognizing the work we’re doing at Collectors MD around compulsive spending, breaking culture, and gambling-adjacent behaviors in modern collecting spaces.
This is about creating more awareness, more honesty, more education, and more support for people trying to build a healthier and more intentional relationship with collecting.

652 apps blocked. No public list. No transparent process. No meaningful recourse.
Now even @gambanapp , an app designed to help people block gambling websites, has reportedly remained banned in India for over three years under Section 69A.
When governments can quietly remove apps without clear reasons, published orders, or due process, it raises a bigger question: who gets to decide how we use the internet, and without accountability to whom?
Our latest blog examines India’s app blocking regime, the legal gaps behind these bans, and why opacity under Section 69A should concern every internet user.
Can I block gambling transactions through my bank account?
Yes - here’s how to set up gambling blocks with major UK high street banks → https://t.co/96yszYdxbs
Now then… I’m not one to complain but…@Popeyes why do you have to send out offers like this that leads people into quasi gaming / gambling? It’s so triggering to so many. Do better!
(And spending to get a spin is gambling and should be licensed btw!)

1 greyhound is killed on UK dog tracks every 3 days. Thousands of dogs disappear from tracks every year, but where are they now?
Greyhound Watch is the result of a group of dedicated volunteer race monitors who have identified over 2000 greyhounds that raced this year but have not been seen for over a month.
More information about each dog and their disappearance can be found here - https://t.co/dPllcAyD98
The new site provides even more evidence of mistreatment and why the industry needs to be held accountable for its actions.
Gamban are proud to be part of the Greyhound Freedom UK coalition that is calling for an end to greyhound racing.

Hundreds of predatory illegal gambling sites pop up every day, often using terms like 'casinos not on Gamban.'
This is blatantly targeting those most at risk from gambling harm who are trying to recover.
Every day, we add hundreds of these sites to our block list, and today are pleased to reach 500K gambling sites and apps blocked.
We use multiple internal methods to identify and block these sites, as well as an in-app method where our customers can report sites they feel should be blocked.
