In today’s @LongIslandPress, former prosecutor @GaryFalkowitz warns: Gov. Hochul's auto proposals weaken negligence laws & lets corporations escape accountability.
His son Ethan was killed by a drunk/high driver.
New Yorkers should be skeptical of any policy that promises affordability in exchange for rights.

@VW1ckman Almost 3 years… not one attempt to reach out to my family. Overwhelming bipartisan support to sign the Grieving Families act. And yet she rejects it. Over and over again. She’s not a leader…. She’s just a puppet.
We are excited to share a major milestone in the growth of our Level Up community: the official launch of Up, our new nonprofit 501(c)(3) foundation dedicated to empowering youth through basketball and community engagement.

The Grieving Families Act has been vetoed for the third time, blocking families from seeking justice for the wrongful deaths of their loved ones. New Yorkers — like @GaryFalkowitz, who lost his 14-yo son Ethan to a drunk driver — deserve better. https://t.co/OBxmW5W8RZ
Hi @HeleneWeinstein Thank you for championing the Grieving Families Act. After losing my son to a drunk driver, @GovKathyHochul’s veto is a painful reminder of protecting profits over people. Families need justice, not politics. Let’s work together to make this law a reality.
Hi @TerryConnors, I appreciate everything you’re doing to help us get this Bill passed. @GovKathyHochul can’t ignore grieving families like mine. Please help us get as much pressure on the Gov to sign a Bill that has overwhelming bipartisan support. Please share and repost.
Need your help @AttorneyCrump My 14-year-old son was tragically killed by a drunk driver. @GovKathyHochul’s refusal to sign the Grieving Families Act prioritizes insurance companies over grieving families like mine. We need your voice to demand justice. #JusticeForEthan
Hi @NYSenPalumbo@BobHoldenNYC My 14 yr old son Ethan was killed by a drunk driver. @GovKathyHochul is choosing insurance companies over NY families like mine by refusing to sign the Grieving Families Act. Families deserve justice, not politics. Please help me amplify this issue.
@GovKathyHochul@TishJames@bradhoylman
On 12/21/24 The #grievingfamiliesact was vetoed for a third time.
In November of 2023, NYU Langone agreed to a confidential $13.25M dollar wrongful death settlement for the same reason 👇
On 9/28/23, a $13.25M Jury Verdict for Medical Malpractice During Cardiac Ablation Causing Stroke, in Wisconsin.
Different states, same settlement, same year, one out of court, one in court, one patient still living, the other deceased. Both patients were the same age. Both cases involve the same manufacturer of the cardiac ablation catheters, by BioSense Webster, a J&JMedTech Company. Except, it's not just two patients.
On 3/6/22, my father wrongful died at NYU Langone due to the same reasons in their cases ☝️.
I reported his death and NYU Langone's Medicare fraud with supporting document evidence, to every NY State Agency and US Federal Agency within the correct jurisdiction, to their correct legally vaild mailing addresses, multiple times from 2022 to 2024.
As of 12/29/24, NYU Langone allows the same physicians to perform the same cardiac ablations, using the same devices by the same manufacturer.
How many more deaths will it take before they are held accountable? Whose father, mother, son, daughter, grandfather, or grandmother is next? How many more wrongful deaths do you need @GovKathyHochul before you will allow me one chance to hold those accountable for my father's tragic and painful wrongful murder in a court of law so justice can be rightfully served?
When considering your stance regarding the reasons for your third veto on the Grieving Families Act, use this post to consider that both hospital and manufacturer proved that you and the GFA bill are just as big of a fraud as they are.
@Kash_Patel@NewYorkFBI@NYSTLA@VW1ckman@wachsy1@liray1080@blackds12@JosePerez718bk and to all New York grieving families, kindly repost.
Hi @SquarePegDem. Need your help. @GovKathyHochul’s priorities: Cash for unions, cuts for autistic kids, and a 3rd veto of the Grieving Families Act—denying justice to grieving families. How much more will NY families lose under her leadership?
Hi @WKBW, your coverage of Raelynn Huber’s tragic death underscores the urgent need for the Grieving Families Act. @GovKathyHochul’s repeated vetoes deny families like hers (and mine) the justice we deserve. It’s time to hold her accountable for this heartless inaction!
Hi @CBS6Albany, you’ve highlighted the heart-wrenching stories of families devastated by NY’s outdated wrongful death laws. @GovKathyHochul’s 3rd veto of the Grieving Families Act is a slap in the face to these victims. We need your help to amplify our voices and demand justice!
Hi @NickReisman, your comprehensive coverage of the Grieving Families Act has been instrumental in informing the public. With @GovKathyHochul’s recent veto, families are once again left without recourse for their tragedies. Continued reporting on this issue is crucial for change.
