My friend @Ramu_Damodaran, once PS to PM Narasimha Rao, tells this story about #DrManmohanSingh that highlights an aspect of him we don't talk about enough: his honesty.
"My first meeting with Dr MMS was in July ‘91, the day I joined Prime Minister Narasimha Rao’s office. The devaluations of the rupee had taken place a few days earlier.
He came to the PM’s Race Course Road office and walked straight into his room from the car. On the way out he detoured to come to my room. He had a small envelope in his hand which he gave me saying “please make sure this is credited to PM’s Relief Fund.”
I opened the envelope after he left to find a cheque for a huge amount I cannot now precisely remember . With it a note saying “Representing the difference in rupee value of my assets abroad consequent upon devaluation.”

@essilorindia I need a complete hassle free replacement from you. Since you have given me a fake lens, I'm having continuous headache and eye strain. This is how a reputed company of yours treats your customers and when you are charging such an exorbitant price for your lenses.

I had the worst experience with @essilorindia. I got my lenses twice replaced since the quoting was peeled off and now when it was changed for the second time in July 2023, I got to know they have replaced it with a fake lens which is not even Crizal.
