here is a quick tldr on recent progress in censorship resistance (CR) protocols.
there are broadly 4 types of CR people seem to talk about:
> short-term CR (STCR): if a tx reaches the honest inclusion pipeline before a cutoff, then any next committed block includes it. a censor can only exclude by stalling liveness of chain itself.
> selective CR (SCR): attacker cannot single out one specific tx (or small set) for censorship while allowing everything else through normally.
> long-horizon CR (LHCR): a tx cannot be kept out forever.
both STCR and SCR matter for time-sensitive DeFi but STCR is about how fast you get in while SCR is about whether an attacker can choose you to be slow.
LHCR matters for rollup escape hatches, withdrawals.
---------------------------------------
my current mapping of recent protocols:
> BigDipper gives the strongest explicit STCR, can be plugged into PBFT-style consensus
> MCP proposal targets SCR + hiding by having k concurrent proposers and an intermediate relay based DA layer
> Sedna is user-side tx-dissemination submission plugin for MCPs to relieve the replication-cost vs CR tension in MCP designs
> Mysticeti improves practical inclusion via concurrency but doesn’t give explicit STCR/SCR tx-level guarantees
> FOCIL: LHCR via fork-choice enforced inclusion lists, but relies on committee being altruistic + attesters observing ILs, and has unstable strategy for tx inclusion
> AUCIL improves FOCIL by making IL production incentive-compatible, making committee members rational and attestors only required to check validity proofs for IL inclusion, but assumes a global mempool sync.
on impossibility bounds, the recent paper "the latency cost of censorship resistance" argues that multi-proposer CR adds a latency cost of at least 2 rounds to baseline BFT. however, their CR definition is more aligned with STCR than SCR/LHCR. tagging @ittaia for confirmation if that was the intention for this paper?

#FTX CLAIMS UPDATE - Institutional Feedback
We’ve seen volume picking up as clean, sizeable, well-doc’d claims trade in the 20c to 25c context. Whilst there seems to be excitement (complacency) around ‘up only’ pricing I would argue that initial information gaps have been filled
If you want to discuss this in detail with the experts and/or sell your claim please reach out to me and I can refer you to the relevant persons. Additionally, if you have any questions on 3AC, Genesis, Celcius we are active there too. #FTX#FTXbankruptcy#bankruptcy#FTXscandal
