Many of the things that we complain about today, my parents wish they would have had when they immigrated to Canada from Greece.

Not knowing if they would ever see, let alone talk to, their family again must have been terrifying. I can’t imagine how that must have been for them.

That technology has helped me connect with people who have similar interests and aspirations, in a way that I couldn’t have done even when I first started teaching in 1999.

I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from so many great people because of technology.

As the world becomes more “digital,” it is crucial we become more “human.”

Technology can disconnect us from one another or bring us together. It depends on how we choose to use it.

The story you tell is not as important as the one you create together with your community. That is not about “buy-in” or “commitment” but true ownership. I am more likely to advocate for something I helped build!

I just received this wonderful review from Terry Sanders regarding "Forward, Together." Not only is it incredibly humbling, but there is also a dog in the picture, which makes it even better! Speaking to my heart!

What I appreciate from Terry is that he shares the importance of authenticity in what he reads.

In all honesty, a lot of the book is not about the things I did well, but also sharing where I messed up and how I tried to get better. It was important to share that because it is the truth, and I hope my hindsight can help someone else's foresight.
