@posta_octavian@MAStrackZi@reiser_schober France wanted almost everything; they just wanted someone else to pay for it. What would have become of it? A facelift for Raphael. It’s for the best.
@anders_aslund I'd say Trump is the smartest one of them all. Anyone who's even a little bit smarter wouldn't go around praising a guy like that and insulting the rest of the world, calling them poor... and so on.
@JohnG8828772208@HormuzLetter The U.S. has received a ton of money to defend the Arab states... What good has it done? Absolutely nothing... Keep dreaming
**Merz is less popular.**
Recent polls (June 2026):
- **Trump** (US): ~37-40% approve, net approval around -18 to -25. Low for a second-term president but within recent historical range.
- **Merz** (Germany): Record low for any chancellor — just 16-19% satisfied with his leadership. 86%+ dissatisfied with his government after one year.
Direct apples-to-apples is imperfect across systems, but Merz’s numbers are dramatically worse.
One thing I have learned: The Germans do not like Merz right now. I have never seen sentiment this crazy. You have both the left and the right agreeing. And even the centrists are going down with them
