Everyone who cares about free speech and censorship in Canada owes @MeghanEMurphy a debt of gratitude for her courage in speaking out in 2017, at great and ongoing personal cost.
The Free Speech Union of Canada stands with Meghan Murphy, condemns her vilification, and calls on all political leaders to do the same.
This line of questioning is brilliant. Thank you, MP @vincentneilho. And shame on @PHAC_GC for its failure to acknowledge material biological reality. This ridiculous wordplay certainly does erode Canadians' trust in public health. It must stop.
🇳🇴 FROM NORWAY TO BRUSSELS: “I WANT TO SHOW HOW EXTREME THINGS HAVE BECOME”
𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗴 (@anneKalvig72) speaks to iNyheter (@iNyheter_no) ahead of our Brussels event on 3 November.
The former professor of Religious Studies challenges the treatment of gender identity as established fact rather than belief, and describes the consequences of speaking out in Norway, including her own experiences of harassment and professional exclusion.
The article also puts the spotlight on Athena Forum and our upcoming event, where women from across Europe will confront EU policymakers with the consequences of gender identity policies for women's rights, freedom of expression and open debate.

🇳🇴 CONFRONTING EUROPE ON GENDER IDENTITY
In a new interview with Politikus, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗴 (@AnneKalvig72) speaks out about the authoritarian nature of gender identity ideology, its consequences for women, children, lesbians and gay men, and the suppression of dissent.
Anne is one of our speakers in Brussels next week, when we bring women's voices and experiences to the heart of the EU and hold European policymakers to account for the consequences of their gender identity policies: the erosion of women's rights, freedom of expression and open debate.

November 10, 12 & 13: The dates of my appeal trial at the BC Supreme Court.
I am appealing a ruling that found me guilty of "unprofessional conduct" for advocating for the rights of women and children in my off-duty time.
My regulator, the BC College of Nurses, investigated me at the behest of a cancellation mob after receiving complaints from members of the public I've never met. I have never had a patient complaint. I was dragged through years of disciplinary hearings, lasting longer than a murder trial. (My fight was made possible by @JCCFCanada and @LDBildy.)
After my guilty verdict, I was told I would face a 1 month suspension and had to pay $94,000 to the BCCNM. My employer of 13 years, Vancouver Coastal Health, fired me with no severance, and no way to even collect EI. I was a single mom with 2 young boys. The suspension and $94k was put on hold for the appeal. My name is blacklisted and I essentially was pushed out of the profession entirely.
I first noticed the rise of gender ideology a decade ago, and I was fascinated and repulsed that women were being told to shut up about their experiences to make way for people who identify as us. Then I came to understand that paediatric "gender affirming care" is a terrible medical scandal, probably worse than the lobotomy. I began to write about the topic and, with another BC woman, began to organize events to discuss gender ideology. We faced vicious threats, protests, and attempts to shut us down. Later, of course, I was involved in a billboard project that drew a lot of ire from trans activists.
Never could I have imagined that life would go in this direction: being smeared as a bigot across the country; losing my career and long-term financial stability; and spending 6+ years in a protracted legal battle.
I'm still fighting because I care about the truth, free speech (for all of us, but especially for regulated professionals, who don't deserve to be policed in their private lives and forced to go along with state orthodoxy), and women's rights. Please follow along for updates.
It might be cliche, but Amy really is fighting for all of us. They are making an example out of her to send a message to everyone: call out our lies and we will destroy you.

Women and Girls Alberta website is back online and ready to listen. Jenny's story is the reason we exist and we want to hear from you. We are here to demonstrate to govenment that after 100 years of work to have spaces for ourselves, Alberta women are not about to turn around and hand them over to men because of feelings.
At Queen’s University yesterday, William Diaz of Canadian Students for Free Speech (@FreeSpeech_CAN) joined Sarah from @unify_action and Joseph Bourne to hold open debates with students about gender identity.
Some students disagreed with them; others agreed.
Several more students stopped to say they supported the conversation but declined to take part, citing fear of repercussions.
That last group is why this work matters.
Free expression is protected under s. 2(b) of the Charter, and it matters only if Canadians feel able to use it. A university campus should be where contested questions are argued in the open.

I weep with you @JennyMorri72146 !
😮💨😥
It is gut-wrenching what #GenderIdeology has done to families.
THANK YOU for turning your heartbreak into positive action in being the force behind @WomenandGirlsAB !

Man or bear?
Even in a BC pizza joint on election eve, the answer hasn’t changed. But does that impact how young lesbians vote?
A short, sharp read from felicia rembrandt.
