Social Cricket Club based in Northumberland. We have a Midweek League side and a Sunday Friendly side where the quality of the Tea is the No.1 priority!
As we head into our 50th summer as a club; our badge has had a little spruce up…
We have a full set of Sunday fixtures including a Genetics Day on 6th June!
We now await the midweek fixtures, a first year back in the top division.
New players welcome 🏏
A quick game is a good game!
A minefield of a pitch up at @MedomsleyCC and only 9 available following a couple of late drop outs meant we were all out for 39
Our opponents knocked that off (40-2) in 5.3 overs, congratulations to NE United on their promotion
We sealed the Division two of the North East Midweek Cricket League last night with a 35 run win over NE4.
Thanks to all the players this season, after a few years of turning out with 8 & 9, we’ve had a regular 11 each week; sometimes 12!
Our 50th summer as a club coming up!
A 9 wicket win over NE4 for the midweek team last night.
A great night for the bowlers, Joe Ingram picking up 3.
Just want to add, NE4 are a credit to the cricket scene; proper friendly lads, good crack, no malice - wish there were more teams like this!
A couple of results in the last 7 days…
Firstly, we were resoundingly beaten by Fenham Falcons last Thursday, the opposition will make a top division side if they sort their admin side!
Then on Monday we beat Blue Flames in another tight affair.
A trip to @MatfenC to face Fenham Falcons tonight for the midweek team.

A great game tonight against a talented NE United team.
Both Ne United openers reached 50 as they were 110-0 off 10 overs, a late fightback saw them finish 146-5 (14)
We wrapped up the win (148-2) with the very last ball of our innings.
A quick start last night meant we posted a score that our 9 1/2 men could defend.
Some great bowling early doors from the legend that is Jonty Tarbuck meant Whitley had an uphill task despite a tidy 49 from their opener.
We finished 155-4 (14)
The Midweek side make it 2/2 with a 9 wicket win at @CramlingtonCC
Great little facility; big thanks to Cramlington for doing the play cricket and proving a tuck shop 👏
Runs for Ingram & Appleby 💪
Today’s Sunday Friendly with St George’s Rovers is off as we are unable to field a team.
The midweek team travel to @CramlingtonCC on Wednesday night this week.
A lovely evening for it last night as our midweek team were back in action.
Genetics CC 104-0
Beat
West End CC 103-8 (12 overs)
West End recovered from 12-6 at one point to make a game of it.
